This trail is one of the Rails to Trail's Hall of Fame trails. The trail well deserves this honor as it has great signage, well spaced rest stations with actual restrooms and water fountains and well maintained paved surface. I rode from my hotel in Hattiesburg (Day's Inn), accessing the trail just east of the I-59 overpass to the end of the trail in Prentiss. The trail goes through groves of pine trees and is very tranquil. The trail was lightly travelled on a hot weekday when I was riding. Hopefully more people visit this wonderful trail when the weather is cooler, as well as in the evenings and on weekends.

Picture gently flowing soapstone lined pardise with crystal clear natural spring water with mild rapids that the beginner can conquer in less than 4 -6 hours. One of my old time favorites.
