Bodega Familia Antonietti

Andrés Pedro Antonietti Filippini, winemaker and lover of the wine industry, started his activity in 1962 as a winemaker in Bodega Filippini, at that moment, the winery of his mother Lydia, daughter of Don Luigi Filippini. In that winery, he learned the most intimate secrets of the winemaking process. Not only his mother’s relatives were dedicated to the wine industry, but also his grandfather Ferdinando Antonietti, being a winemaker who graduated in Conegliano, Italy, decided to emigrate to Argentina, where he started his activity in the three of the most important wineries of Maipú in those times.Andrés Pedro, in 1986 bought a family land and started the business of a great aenological quality on his own. In 2000 he decided to restore the winery located in the property. In this project, everyone in his family joined him, his wife Norma, his son Adrián and his daughters Andrea and Betiana..For those who want to know more about this proyect and his founders, the tour starts at the vineyards and continues at the tasting room where a tasting class takes place, leaded by the winemaker of the family: Andrés Antonietti. The tasting session is followed by a lunch with the Antonietti family in the mainhouse, paring whit typical mendocina food.

AsadoAdventure

Participate in creating a typical weekend family asado (local bbq) that Argentina is famous for. Your guide wil take your small semi-private group to the butcher shop, the bakery, and the wine store, all the while walking the cobblestone streets of either Palermo Viejo or San Telmo, just like a local family would do. You then go back to a large private home (not a restaurant) and help prepare the asado. It is a first-hand experience of learning how to prep the meat, create the salad, build the fire with charcoal and wood, and all the while learn about the neighborhood (guests might want to jot down the different shops visited for some shopping later). The tour is an experience where you can learn about asado customs, and learn more information about the city in a very relaxed atmosphere. And you would be eating a fantastic asado guided by the very capable hands of a master parrillero (local grill master).

Club Del Olivo/Entre Olivos

Reviewed By hurlp - Montreal, Canada

It’s worth a visit to this small local shop in Maipu Coquimbito, just outside Mendoza where you taste and learn about local olive oils, jams jellies and liquors. The cost of the tasting session was a reasonable $180 ARS to taste test all of the above. Informative explanations and excellent English spoken by the guide. Thank you for a lovely experience!
