New York State has it all – booming metropolises, majestic waterfalls, mountains, wine country, chicken wings. Yes, NYC is a magnet for tourists, but an exploration of the rest of the state can be equally thrilling. The Finger Lakes Wine Region is a vision of serene waters, quaint B&Bs, and pretty vineyards. Movie buffs will love Rochester, home of the George Eastman House and one of the world’s most comprehensive film archives. On your way to Niagara Falls, stop in Buffalo to fuel up on spicy wings.

The Met opened in 1883 and is one of the most famous opera houses in the country today.
We've attended Verdi's Requiem opening and loved it. Acoustic in Family Circle is awesome, seats are pretty comfortable, and subtitles machine helped to better understand the masterpiece. Also the interior of the theater and the concert hall is very impressive and worth visiting

The historic Connelly Theater is a beautiful 99-150-seat miniature opera house in the heart of NYC's East Village that now serves as a home for adventurous independent theater productions. Past productions include Soho Rep's DUAT, Mac Wellman's The Offending Gesture (as part of The Tank's Flint & Tinder series), Daniel Kitson's A Show for Christmas, Soho Rep. & Ars Nova's Futurity, Lyspinka! The Trilogy, Mission Drift (The TEAM), The New York International Fringe Festival, Lucy Thurber's Monstrosity (13p), Anne Washburn's Apparition, and many others. The theater also serves as a location for film and television productions, including shows on HBO, ABC, MTV, PBS, and many more. The building, originally an orphanage, dates back to the mid 1870s. The theater itself was once a choir hall, with the distinctive proscenium arch and raised stage added later. Named one of NYC's best off-off-Broadway theaters by Time Out NY

Went to see this in January with my Mom, she is a huge phantom of the opera fan. She loved it. It is a great show, the performances are excellent, the music is great. Classic Broadway! I highly recommend checking out this show if you are in NYC!

Hudson Hall offers a year-round schedule of arts and cultural programming in the 1855 former Hudson City Hall which contains New York State’s oldest surviving theatre. Since opening the first restored room in December of 1997, five rooms on the first floor and our magnificent upstairs performance hall have been rehabilitated, and we have presented thousands of cultural and educational programs. Hudson Hall provides free or low-cost cultural offerings every week of the year. Ongoing programs include concerts, readings, lectures, exhibitions, theater and dance presentations, after-school programs, workshops, classes, and large-scale community arts events like Winter Walk, which celebrated its 21st year in 2017.
