We always stop and visit the Prayer tower when in town. It's so peaceful and calming and nice cool place to rest from the hot Texas sun for just a bit. Beautiful stained glass and lovely grounds also. We enjoyed the bell tolling too. It's a nice place to take a few moments of reflection in a busy day.

The historic Tower Station and U-Drop Inn Café was built in 1936 to serve travelers along Route 66. Used as a model for Ramone's Body Art in the movies Cars and Cars II, it now serves as the Shamrock Visitor Information Center. Housing many interesting displays, there is also "Cars Corner" for the kids and grown ups alike with numerous photo opportunities. The center has an expanded gift shop and offers free coffee & tea along with free internet and encourages everyone to "sit a spell" and enjoy the ambiance of this historic icon along the "Mother Road".
Oh goodness, I don't think I could add much. But if you are an art deco fan, or just of an age to remember the glory days of pre-Interstate car travel, I think you would enjoy getting off I-40 and seeing this. (Unlike most of I-40 in western Oklahoma, the old U.S. 66 alignment is away from and some distance south of the interstate. Still there and drivable from somewhere west of Shamrock to just east of Erick, OK. (Very little additional travel time; in exchange for opening up some memories of mid-century travel). Even the restrooms are from the 1930's, but clean as a whistle and there are five of them. (If you are really hardcore, there are some restored motels in town that are operational, and there is an even older preserved gas station across from the post office farther south in "downtown". Some other unrestored deco-era buildings are also in town. Oh, apparently Shamrock was a regular Elvis overnight stop, including the cafe attached to the station. You can sit where Elvis ate). OF ALL THINGS, there is a Tesla electric vehicle charging station behind the building.

Reunion Tower, an iconic Dallas landmark, offers panoramic 360-degree views of the Dallas skyline. Located next to the Hyatt Regency Dallas, the Reunion Tower GeO-Deck offers an indoor/outdoor observation deck and unique entertaining spaces. Visit with family, friends, a group or your sweetheart to create unforgettable memories at 470 feet in the air! * Restaurants are currently closed for renovations.
Bought a City Pass which saves you money on all the places of interest. No queues on the day we visited, handbags checked on entry. Can take as long as you like viewing the sites, and sitting in the geo-deck, where you can buy refreshments, the floor moves around very gently/slowly so you can see full circle view as you relax. Need to wait to be taken up/down in the lift. Busy times will mean lots of queuing/waiting no doubt.

We are a family friendly fishing pier. We offer rod rentals, bait, cold drinks, sno cones, wine, cold beer, margaritas, snacks, pizza, hot dogs, gifts, and lots of fun. In addition to having a pier for fishing, we also have an observation deck for those who dont want to fish, but want to sit above the water and enjoy the cool breeze of the Gulf of Mexico.
I took my kiddos here a few times throughout the week. We loved just being able to purchase some snacks and watch fishing and the sunset from the top deck. It was great! Highly recommend!

This 750-foot tower built for the 1968 HemisFair has unbeatable panoramic views, especially if you're in the tower's revolving restaurant.
Tower of the Americas is a great place to take visitors to San Antonio! My friend flew in from Chicago and we went to Tower of the Americas for an afternoon of visiting and enjoying fun drinks (with and without alcohol). The 360-degree views from the top are spectacular, and the hospitality of the staff who served us was welcoming and friendly. The option of staying and having a meal at The Chart House is always a wonderful treat, as the food is delicious and the restaurant floor rotates around the windows affording diners the best views of our beautiful city and surrounding landmarks.

This building was once the tallest building west of the Mississippi. It also has some unique features like gargoyles and strange faces that were to discourage evil spirits. We were able to see it from our hotel balcony and it is easily seen and accessed from the Riverwalk. With the high flying American flag it is the signature vertical structure for the city.
