Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

We went to this place while over in New York for a couple of days. We knew about this place from some friends and family who live in New York and have been here a few times. Before reviewing here I decided to read some of the reviews they already got, and ended up reading all 62! Well what I can say from all the reviews are, yes you can get the feeling does the staff want you there or not, but only if you pick them up wrong. They just have a different way of interacting with customers that isn't the normal approach. While it might put some people off, we had a brilliant night in the place. The attitude towards tips from the reviews below would be correct. They really emphasize on tipping but hey the piano man needs to get paid too. Leaving behind all that the music and entertainment was amazing, with all the bar staff there joining in on songs throughout the night. The crowd seemed very local and the staff knew most of the customers in the place by name. Perhaps this is where the bad reviews comes from, it’s not really the type of bar that caters for tourists and is more of a local scene. We stayed in the place for several hours and the wealth of songs that the staff and piano player knew was really good. On a brief summary if you’re easily offended and want anything fancy including bar snacks don’t come here. If you’re looking some drinks and a great night’s entertainment with a live piano player and live music then do! It’s a hidden gem! Well worth visiting if you’re in NYC.
