The Midtown Lounge is a great place to stop if you happen to be on the north end of Taos. Perfect for a drink after soaking in the Black Rock hot springs. The interior of the bar is really comfortable. Bathrooms were very clean. Their food was pretty good and they have a yummy half roasted chicken dinner. The locals are friendly with helpful advice for local attractions. The convenience store has everything you need and they sell alcohol. Nice little oasis.

We love this little place when we can get there during its business hours. It closes for the day at 3:00, so it is not an option on the way home from a day of skiing at TSV. The bar is connected and remains open, but doesn't serve food.

We stayed at El Monte Sagrado Resort over Christmas and Christmas Eve , and visited the Anaconda bar several times. It was always a pleasure. Great bartenders, excellent drink selection , and also really good food. I'm sure the locals also visit this bar, as it is one of the best places in Taos to go.

The KTAOS Solar Center is as unique as it gets and is a must if you are visiting Taos or live here: home to two radio stations: KTAOS Solar Radio 101.9FM and Luna 103.7FM, along with a world-class concert venue and family-friendly full restaurant and bar. An expansive 2 acre backyard that boasts the best views in Taos, as well as national and local musicians. Happy hour everyday 4pm-6pm

We live in southern co. it's about a 2 hr drive from home to taos, the Alley Cantina is a must every time we go. I can't remember how many times we have eaten there, a bunch! We have had OK lunches so-so-lunches pretty good lunches, but this last time was sooper great, first time I have ever gotten my hamburger med rare as I always order anywhere, best I've had in a long time, my wife had the chilli rellenos appetizer, full plate smothered in green chilli, usually we need a doggy bag not this time. Waitress was very freindly and accomodating, we shall return many more times.
