This was one of the highlights of the Cheltenham CAMRA ale amble in Swindon. They offer 6 cask ales, 10 keg ales and a cider, all produced by the Hop Kettle brewery which is also to be found in Swindon. All of us agreed that they brew some very interesting beers, with Flapjack Black their Imperial Stout (just 7.5%) probably the overall favourite. An absolute must for all real ale lovers - with the added advantage that there are two other fine watering houses just across the road!

A Speakeasy located in the heart of Swindons Old Town. Serving fine spirits and cocktails in an intimate, friendly environment. Velvet booths and subtle lighting emphasise the tasteful design within the old Victorian bank building.
Had a lovely socially distanced brunch with unlimited Prosecco and pornstar martinis . The venue is cosy and very welcoming inside . I especially like the funky artwork and decor . All the staff completed their tasks with excellent customer service. Will be going back again to try more of their cocktails .

The landlord asked us to squirt when we entered. Absolutely brilliant place. Highly recommended. Come here

We were looking for a local Inn and came across the Fox and Hounds. Ideally located just off the M4 junction for Swindon. We spent 3 nights here and were very happy with our stay! Our room was cosy not huge but the room was very well presented. The bed was comfy and the en-suite bathroom looked like it was new. Our room overlooked the Wiltshire Downs with a veranda to walk out into! We had breakfast over the weekend in the main bar area. The cooked breakfast was very good as was the toast and croissants. Clearly this is an Inn very well supported by locals for breakfasts and teas and coffees. We had an evening meal which was excellent!

This was another of the highlights of the Cheltenham CAMRA ale amblers visit to Swindon, one of three excellent pubs close by to each other on Devizes Road. They have a great range of real ales, both cask and keg, from a variety of good breweries. I'd have been quite happy to stay here for longer - but there were some other similarly good ale houses close by to try out too, and I'm not a frequent visitor to Swindon (although I may now be tempted to return).
