Munich exudes Bavarian charm. Beer fanatics should head immediately to the Hofbräuhaus, a hops heaven that’s been churning out the good stuff since 1589. The drinking is downright legendary during Oktoberfest, a celebration of local beers and German specialty foods. Emulate world-class athletes at the Olympiapark, where skating on the Olympic ice rink will make you feel like a champion. The promenade of Marienplatz is perfect for people watching and gawking at the Glockenspiele of City Hall.

The "Stadion" in Munich is one of the most famous football pubs in Germany. In a unique atmosphere, the "Stadion" shows pure football: from the Bundesliga and 2nd league, through the Champions and Europa League to international games from England, Spain and Italy, as well as, of course, all games of the World Cup and European Championship!
Three friends and I ventured here after a trip to see Munich play. We were looking for a bar that was showing the football and serving food. What we found was heaven. It’s not the biggest place but it crams in a lot into the bar. There’s tables and against one wall there appeared to be the type of seats you’d find in a football dugout. At first I thought we’d have to go somewhere else but the guy in charge with his old school Düsseldorf top shows ya to a table to the side of the bar. While we were in the way slightly of people going to the toilet we had our own telly screen. We also got table service from a guy who is a massive Arsenal fan so we got a lot of banter with him. The drinks were really good and the prices reasonable. We also had some good and again couldn’t fault it. The walls are covered in football memorabilia from tops once worn by players to scarfs from teams around the world meaning you could spend ages taking it all in without watching the games. The staff are brilliant and extremely friendly making it a great atmosphere for everyone there. If you’re a football fan and your in Munich you probably won’t find a better place to go. It might be a bit rough around the ages but so is the beautiful game itself.

An intimate upscale beer garden.
Ended up here after a long walk by the Isar river during winter. We were cold and hungry and this place was cozy and smelled really good. We had just a Apfelstrudel with coffee, but they were excellent. I will come to this place again during summers for a nice beer.
