Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

Authentic Experiences to the heart of New York City! Since 1997 we have been on the front lines of the underground New York City jazz scene - taking small groups down into intimate basement joints where live jazz still thrives in neighborhood nightclubs from Harlem to Greenwich Village. Legendary players and clubs as well. All live music and transportation costs are included in the public tour price. Our jazz tours take place in Manhattan for the most part, but private tours to Brooklyn, Queens or the Bronx can be arranged. Our goal is to offer the most intimate, small group tours available to Harlem and Greenwich Village neighborhood nightclubs and juke joints. We also provide insight into the Big Apple jazz scene as it has evolved over the past hundred years. Consider hiring Gordon Polatnick to take you on a private tour throughout the city during the day or night to experience the city's many intriguing neighborhoods at your pace and focusing on your interests. All ages welcome.

This is a great jazz club - a national treasure - near the Theatre District in Manhatten, NYC. The space is great - probably not a bad seat in the house and the sound is fantastic. Definitely a great place to go for music aficionados.

Great lounge. Well crafted cocktails and great whiskey selection. Wide array of cigars including house brands. No walk in. Cigars are expensive but if you buy one you can smoke your own. Must visit for any cigar smoker.

Step back in time at this 19th-century tavern located in midtown.
A large group of us spent the day visiting the Intrepid. Different groups of us ended up walking the neighborhood looking for something to eat. We ALL ended up at the Landmark without reservations on a Saturday afternoon. They were very accommodating. The food, the service and the decor of this Landmark Tavern of 150 years old was a great find. The owner was on premise and he was very hospitable. There is something for almost everyone on the menu. It was a great find and we’d definitely return when in the area.

Stopped by for a nightcap on the way back to our digs after dinner and ended up staying a few hours. Had so much fund watching the barmen strut around the bar and also got caught up in the liquor pour. Locals all seemed very friendly - and tolerant of four out of towners taking over the jukebox for the evening. Just a real light hearted and fun bar - very reasonably priced too.

Little cozy pub in Hell's Kitchen in NYC, very close to Times Square. Very busy, but with an extra garden area with more seating and heating. Beer and hot dog for 3 dollars! Suuuuper recommended!

If you are visiting New York for the day, or if you've lived here for years, come and join us for a hearty lunch, dinner or maybe a cold pint after work. This is a place where you can relax - where the atmosphere is warm, the people lively and the food appetizing. A true Irish American bar and restaurant. Conveniently located in the heart of the Theater District, just minutes from Rockefeller Centre and St. Patrick's Cathedral. Our dining room is situated on the second floor and is richly decorated with wood paneling and a large selection of Irish playwrights and Broadway memorabilia. Windows overlook 7th Avenue and provide a people watching experience - Its New York you can see it all. We provide an inviting experience, offering Irish, American and continental cuisine. Daily specials and prix - fixe available daily with brunch available on Saturday and Sunday. Live traditional Irish American Folk Music every night at 9pm. Stop in - you won't be disappointed.

We used the Hibernia Bar and Grill as our stop off bar on the way back to our hotel after busy sightseeing days in New York. The bar does nice pub style food and has plenty of TV’s for those who enjoy sport. The thing that makes this bar so good though is the staff. From the first night to our last night the service we received was friendly and efficient. The staff helped to make us feel at home which was great in a city like New York. Even helped out with where to go to see some English football. The regulars are friendly and more than willing to offer advice on where to go and what to do. Just a great friendly bar.
