We decided to have a casual gift-card bridal shower for 16-20 people and chose Christos from a few wine bar options downtown because of the friendly, helpful and inviting owners who made sure we had everything we needed to make the event special. The back room was set up beautifully with perfect evening lighting, and the service was outstanding. We were able to order from the appetizer menu, and they had a large selection of "house wines" to choose from during happy hour. The flatbread pizzas were a favorite, as was the salmon dip. I just can't say enough about how flexible they were with our planning and how comfortable they made us feel. We had a great time and were very pleased with the whole low-key event from planning to well-past happy hour! The store "That Foreign Place" connected to the tavern had great, fun items/gifts that we were able to browse through without going outside. They were very accommodating. This was a very nice option that I would recommend for small to mid-sized groups.

We stopped by DnA Vintners and they were so friendly. The wines are not your typical grape wines but made from cranberries, rhubarb, currant and other local fruits. The wines are very well done and they also had a fantastic wine slushee. Even if you are a wine snob you can come in and enjoy the skill that this vintner has working with non-traditional wines. The tasting room is beautiful and they have some crazy awesome 3D paintings in and outside of the tasting room.

Located in heart of downtown at the corner of 4th & Pearl Streets. 4th Street is also a one-way going north and Highway 35. Best selection of high quality beer in a bar in Wisconsin.
