Forget fashionable footwear, only your most comfortable shoes will cut it in Killarney. It's a walking town, and every trail is a history lesson. Journey on foot through Ireland's first national park, 26,000 acres of woodlands, sandstone mountains and low-lying lakes. When your feet wear out, take in Killarney National Park via boat from Ross Castle. And because there are more hotel beds in Killarney than in any other Irish town or city (besides Dublin), you'll always have a place to rest your head (and feet).

Buckleys Bar - Killarney Town Centre Traditional Pub At the heart of Killarney's traditional Irish music scene. Some of the country's finest musicians often drop in for an 'unplanned, unprogrammed and unamplified' session. With or without music, Buckley's is a beautiful place to sit and discuss the world. Its oak paneled walls and turf fire reflect the timelessness of a good Irish pub, combining character, characters and good cráic.

Kingdom Comedy Club brings live stand up comedy by some of the funniest "up and coming" Irish comedians on the national circuit to Killarney, Co. Kerry. Shows are held in The Shire Cafe every Tuesday and Thursday night. Doors open at 8.30pm and shows start at 9pm. Entry is €10.
When you’re in Killarney, take an hour or so to see this standup show! The emcee gets the crowd laughing right from the start and the lineup of comedians keeps it going!! The night’s headliner Cornelius Patrick O’Sullivan is one of those comics where you wish you could hit pause just to catch your breath you are laughing so hard. Our stomachs hurt by the end of the night !

We were in tonight and Niall served us. He was so lovely and helped us any time needed. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer server. Always checking to make sure if we needed anything and ensuring everything was okay with us, so impressed with him! Such a lovely fella would recommend to anyone

Myself and my partner were staying in the International Hotel and heard nothing but good reviews about Hannigans!! Unfortunately we couldn’t stay for a full 3 courses, but we will definitely be back. The food we had was delicious and the service was something else!! Absolutely top class and we will definitely be returning in the near future!

This bar has great traditional Irish music from 9 PM. The night we were there, the band consisted of a guitarist/singer, fiddle, accordeon (box), banjo and percussion. They were very good and played many traditional Irish tunes. Drinks were reasonably priced and the bartender was busy but quick and efficient. We sat by the open fire with friends and hand a great night. Great craic as the Irish would say. (craic = fun)

Whilst touring Ireland we stayed in Killarney for a few nights, we decided to eat at Murphy's it was busy and we had a drink whilst waiting for a table. Glad we did as we had a lovely meal at the pub, drinks reasonably priced. We enjoyed the meal that much we returned the next night. Staff were great, food delicious, atmosphere good.
