This place is a hidden gem! Was passing the area and stopped for Sunday lunch. Lovely food, portion size and great service. The roast chicken and minted lamb shank were cooked beautifully. Defiantly recommend.

Made to feel welcome, and the food was beautiful, good home cooking made by the Landlady, Sue. I dined with my husband ,and we both had the roast beef, with all the tasty trimmings, it was gorgeous, the beef was so tasty and tender, loved the gravy, and the homemade yorkies, roasties ,stuffing, with new potato's and seasonal veg.. . The potions are so generous, but we ate, almost, all of it , would have been rude not to !! could not manage a pud too pogged !!! We will be back soon. Oh forgot to mention the interesting bit !! the vintage railway signage from "Garth Railway Station" Wales on the wall ( there are two Garth Stations in Wales) Landlords name is Garth, loved it .!!.

Popped in with friends, while en route to another place. It wasn't busy but it was early. Great friendly staff and lots of choice of drink. Toilets clean as well. Nice just to sit and chat sort of place.
