Fabulous village inn! Well organised; every care taken in the present circumstances. Careful welcome at the entrance with hand sanitizer at every turn! Delicious home made pie with plenty of choice, plus mushy peas; sauces too ... including mint sauce of course! Very welcoming open fire, especially as we had arrived on our bikes on a chilly day! Great pint of Landlord for my man, delicious dry rosé for me. A great atmosphere, a lovely welcome too! Thanks!

Love the Sair! Friendly staff and chatty locals. It’s a proper old Yorkshire Brew pub with hops over the bar, a great jukebox, real fires in winter and dogs laid out on the worn floorboards. The beer’s good and they’re making a real effort to put on good standard live acoustic music on Friday nights. Worth a bus trip or taxi ride out!

Kwas is a small wine shop and bar in the centre of Huddersfield. Just hiding behind Tesco’s. A mere 300 metres walk from the train station. We’ve opened the doors in December 2018 to a world of natural wine, sourcing from independent wine makers, with a variety of surprising tastes. The atmosphere is fun and at Kwas we aim to give you a great experience. We offer a space to drink out, take in, share a bottle with friends or sample by the glass. Join the conversation or relax by yourself. This is our journey into the world of real wines and we’re learning along the way. Come share our passion about simplicity, joy and the fun in life. The shop offers an adaptable art space, with regular gigs, tasting events and more. The Uk’s first 100% vegan wine bar and shop, we are proud of our little establishment. We receive fresh organic sourdough delivered every Wednesday and Friday via our very good friends Triangle Bakehouse. We hope you enjoy the shop. Dunk and Ola x
What a gorgeous vision. Contemporary, bold, and friendly. Mainland European influences and lots of Huddersfield charm too. This cosy space is brilliant for friends and fun. What a lovely convivial space with lots of thought and effort put into creating something truly unique to the town. Gorgeous vegan wines with plenty of choice and an expert hand guiding you in your selection and pouring it for you too. Bring all your friends!

Located in the heart of Huddersfield, a short stroll from the train station and a firm favourite for real ale and craft beer drinkers, the Grove has a phenomenal list of over 45 cask and craft keg ales. (restricted until COVID restrictions lifted) New breweries feature regularly, along with stouts, strong ales and real cider. In addition there is a superb list of over 100 + bottled beers. With a huge array of speciality whiskies, gins and rums and spirits from all over the world. We can offer something for any discerning palate. We also have occasional live entertainment so be sure to check out our social media for our events. With a penchant for the unusual The Grove challenges more than your taste buds. Take a look at our ever changing artwork throughout both of our bars. All the artwork is as individual as our beer and is hand picked to challenge even the most hardened arty types.

Lovely meal tonight. Especially enjoyed the lovely goats cheese starter. Sadly too full for pudding - next time though!

My friend and I visited here on a Friday evening for a catch up. It’s tucked away int the building opposite Huddersfield Police Station and I didn’t even know it was there prior to going. It’s a nice, relaxed atmosphere with plenty of comfy sofa style lounge beds to sit/lay on and relax. There’s your standard tables and booths also. We had a pizza each and they were amazing! Really crispy and delicious. It’s very studenty, however there were a variety of people of different ages in there relaxing. Price wise it’s not the cheapest admittedly, but you’re paying for the chill atmosphere and comfy seating which is absolutely spot on. Will 100% be returning in the future.

Ten keg and four cask lines from Magic Rock Brewing Co - street food trucks on Fridays and Saturdays
We have been fans of Magic Rock beers for some time and were excited to have the opportunity to visit the Tap. In our opinion it is the best taproom we have visited and we have ticked off a fair few ???? A superb choice and variety of beer, friendly service and great atmosphere. Thank you!
