Laid-back neon ambiance, rustic decor, pool table & jukebox, make this South Beach/Miami Beach bar a global destination must and a local institution. Est. 1926, "Mac's" since 1964. Voted "Top Dive Bar" in US - CNN/Playboy/Condé Nast/TimeOut/GQ/etc.
Like you’re 30 years ago in some kind of bar where alcohol was in prohibition...it seems things have never changed. In fact, it’s opened since 1926, and it makes it the oldest bar in Miami. The place is a cube Art Deco box and the seating is very peculiar: around the bar, making a kind of serpent line, where people seat and chat, or just have a drink while enjoying the music from the old jukebox. There’s also pool. I saw an elderly walker parked just at the front door, and then I found THE guy! Great place to have a drink if you’re interested in getting to know the spirit of Miami and of South Brach

Always packed and so many sexy women in the building it’s git to be the best hangout spot on south beach. Always filled to capacity and great views both upstairs and down. Get there early or be prepared to wait as the sun goes down.

The continuous live performances all night at Mango’s take you on a journey throughout the Caribbean. From Salsa to Bachata and Reggae to Pop, our live band and world-famous Mango’s Dancers, entertain over a million guests each year and have been televised on ABC, CBS, Travel Channel, and many others! You will be surrounded bygourmet cuisine, art, music, and dancing during an incredible night on Ocean Drive.
Grandchildren? At Mangos? Why not? I grew up in Miami, and my grandfather was a sea captain who sailed ships and later captained cruise ships back and forth to Havana all his life. If he were here today, Mango’s would be his favorite place. We don't live in Miami anymore, but the kids have heard about it for years. So we planned a trip, and took all three..and saw things they'd never seen before! Now they know the city where our big family came from. For a quick look at today's Miamii, start out at Mangos...it's great fun, good food, and an unforgettable treat...for anybody. Right in the center of the Ocean Drive strip on South Beach, Mango’s “shows” begin at 8 pm, and there is a different show every 30 minutes all night. Dinner is great too…reserve a table and enjoy both. When the shows start, out come the bongo drums, the beautiful dancing girls (they dance up on the bar) and the great Latin salsa music begins—and never stops. The place has been a showstopper in South Beach since South Beach was created from a string of older hotels on South Miami Beach during the 80’s. As soon as the music begins, a huge crowd gathers on the sidewalk just outside with everyone craning their necks to see the dancers. It’s loud and hard to talk during the shows, but that’s the whole idea. The girls’ and guys’ costumes are spectacular--there’s even a Carmen Miranda type with a fruit basket on her head! In other shows, the girls are all feathers and fans with headdresses like Vegas showgirls—and believe me, they’re gorgeous. The loud music is great, and it’s all a big party—for all ages. (We’ve even taken our grandkids to the earlier shows.) In fact, we’ve taken Miami visitors to Mango’s for years now, and everyone loves it. Go to their website for reservations, or trust it to luck, and simply walk down Ocean Drive after 8 pm and just try to get a good view! It’s great fun, and today it’s the essence of Miami as a city of international glamour. You’ll love it! (For great photos, just go to Google images, and type in “Mango’s Tropical Café, Miami.”)

Clevelander South Beach, also known as the Best Party on the Beach is located at center of it all on Ocean Drive! This Art Deco iconic is infamous for delivering a Miami experience like no other. Clevelander has established itself as the landmark nightclub and venue for the ultimate daytime parties, large celebrations, and always lives up to its reputation as a South Beach Miami party playground.
I loved visiting The Clevelander! . The room was nice and comfy . Breakfast was excellent. Service was friendly and helpful thanks to Marlon our waiter. And of course the beach location can’t be beat. It has a nice little pool and a dance floor with a Dj playing great variety of music.Would definitely return.
