Washington DC is a hub for American politics and history. Attracting as many school field trips as it does travelers the district offers a peek into the country’s democratic origin. There are plenty of free museums to take advantage of but the real draw here is the memorials and monuments dedicated to great American leaders. Spend some contemplative time at the Reflecting Pool within the National Mall, among the most patriotic places in the country.

Ok folks I have a sleeper for you. Took my daughter to see, "The Magic Duel" tonight as part of her Christmas gifts. This was absoluetly the BEST show per cost I've attended in the last 5 years or so. Absolutely blown away by Mark Phillips and Ryan Phillips comedic genius combined with their underhanded, overhanded, slight of hand magic stylings. These two could stand alone on their one liners, jokes, and snippity, snarkey humor however the magic you witness has a separate if not even stronger punch of its own. Yes, the audience was repeatedly floored and no participants suffered in any way at all. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU SEE THIS FOR YOURSELF!! Located in the basement of the picturesque Mayflower Hotel, Washington DC. Don't say I never hooked you up.................. Dr Hook

I have a friend who takes over two hours to get ready, so while we waited, we circled the block in Dupont Circle and happened to see that this place served my husband's favorite beer, so we stopped in. What a pleasant experience and a very cool concept! The door man checking IDs also cleaned a table off for us, and complimented my friend's outfit, too! Very clean inside, eclectic mix of people. We really enjoyed ourselves!

Larry's Lounge is Dupont Circle's neighborhood bar that's known for generous pours, dog-friendly patio, and being a place for everyone. Larry's Lounge is committed to providing a place that is welcoming for anyone and everyone, even your furry four legged friends. With more than 600 square feet per floor, Larry's Lounge offers plenty of room for you and your friends to come and hang out. We don't have loud live DJ's or bands as we'd rather you carry on a conversation with your friends than have to yell at each other. When in the Dupont Circle area, feel free to drop by Larry's Lounge and see why we're one of the area's most welcoming bar.
