Connecticut is a study in attraction and contrast. In one small state, you’ll find miles of sandy oceanfront shoreline, acres of forested hiking trails, and world-class museums, art and theater. Here family-friendly adventure parks and aquariums are just minutes from dynamic casino resorts and quaint, historic small towns — offering experiences that range from culinary to cultural, luxurious to laid-back. It’s the perfect place to unwind and recharge, all at the same time.

The Side Door gets some of the top names in jazz, I don't know how they do it in such an intimate setting. An excellent sound system, always a great vibe. Just off the interstate (I-95) in an excellent inn (The Old Lyme Inn), worth the overnight.

Connecticut's only weekly Comedy Magic Shows featuring the best magicians, mindreaders and variety acts the profession has to offer. Teaming up with Comix Comedy Club at The Mohegan Sun Casino, Jim Spinnato brings 40+ years experience as a stand up comic magician and offers up a 75 minute performance that showcases the talents of magicians from around the world, including America's Got Talent contestants, acts from Boston to L.A and everywhere in between. Shows every Sunday at 5pm and select Saturdays at 4pm. This is "NOT YOUR KIDS MAGIC SHOW" magic show!!!
The magic and illusions are first class. My wife and I have been to 3 of Spinnato's shows. Each time the performance is outstanding. It's wonderful to see Las Vegas Cabaret Style entertainment in Connecticut. The guest magicians/illusionists are all professional and entertaining. Hopefully, one day, we will see the Fool Us guys on stage.

We love Cafe Nine and have gone there many times over the years. It is a cozy bar and a wonderful space to discover and listen to music, with a respectful and enthusiastic audience. Good selection of beers and a very friendly atmosphere. It would be nice if they could keep latecomers from blocking the view of people who arrived earlier. Note that there is a cover charge for live music.

Chef Carlos personally delivered exquisite culinary delights right to the door of my car at the new drive up service area. Same great food, super convenient and socially distant. Five stars.
