The Welsh capital may have begun its life as a Roman fort, but it's since become a bustling city. Where the fort once stood, Cardiff Castle has held court since the 11th century. It remains a central presence in the city, now full of lively art and music venues, hip boutiques, fun bars and modern hotels. Even with so many new and exciting things to see, the National History Museum is still the most visited attraction in Wales. Don't be the only visitor who plays hooky!

The Bootlegger was first established on 01.03.2014. 29,307 days after prohibition ended, The Bootlegger family opened their doors in their first bar in Bristol, since then the family has carried on its journey heading west, opening it's doors in Cardiff, back to where the minds who conceived the idea grew up. There's still a lot more to come from the Bootlegger family who will spread their wings more in future times.
Amazing hospitality and service by Salvatori and James - definitely enjoyed our evening drinks and the background music - great atmosphere and banter - Grazie mille. Spero di vederti la prossima volta che saremo a Cardiff ????????

Neighbourhood cocktail bar with curated spirits and crafted hip hop. Look for Spirits and Remedies in the window on High Street in Cardiff
Well the lady below is a pleb aint she? "I dont like it so everyone else is wrong" ok boomer. The team here are friendly and proper funny. They love going off menu- ive had stuff off their comic book and ive also had a great margarita- they also like making crazy drinks up just for you. Everything is always value and you can taste the booze in it unlike most cocktail bars. Go to pennyroyal- avoid the woman below.

In the heart of the city centre, tucked away on Caroline street, come and find one of Cardiff's best cocktail scenes. Established in 2012, Lab 22 has been at the forefront of cocktail innovation and technology for over five years. Championing local culture and great drinks.
Fantastic cocktails, great atmosphere and the best service at Lab 22 (thank you, Mike)! Really loved the menu design as well.

Venues come, venues go. Today's popular is tomorrows cautionary tale. But quality doesn't have an expiration date. Neither does music - real music. Cardiff's favorite independent venue is back in its new home under St. Mary Street. No gimmicks, just good music and great service.

Heard great comments about this place and wasn’t disappointed. It’s on the boundary for cardiff so able to visit with local lockdowns. Ate downstairs, lovely atmosphere, both fires going, had the alcove for our family so a really nice setup for the 4 of us. Food was amazing, for adults and the children’s menu too. Kids menu was really comprehensive too not like an afterthought as seen in some places-thanks for that. We had the soups (fish and day) mushrooms then beef roasts for the main and chicken for or youngest. All food was really tasty, lots of extras, veg gravy etc. Really good value. Too full for desserts!-so can’t comment. Lovely choice of drinks with several good beers on tap. Service was first class, very attentive and efficient. Thanks again, will be back again soon
