It is a mile walk from East Brighton Pier to the Marina where you will find shops, restaurants and bars. There is also a huge Asda there. The walk is along the coastline so you can see the sea, watch the Volks Electric Railway in action, or you can walk along the top road which also has great views.

The laines are a unique experience to Brighton, you can find everything from fudge to vintage clothing to jewellery; one of my favourite things about Brighton and I love that it’s full of local independent businesses

This area is home to an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants.
Unlike walking through the high streets for window shopping, this area provides visitors more fun as shops are close and lanes are narrow only one person can pass through at a time in many occasions, so the excitement is high. It's not a small maze to most unless you are familiar with each lane and corner by identifying the shops and benchmarks. Without visiting The Lanes, your trip to Brighton is not complete.

A very attractive small market town with plenty of independent shops and small cafes. A beautiful High Street with a lovely tree lined avenue and greens, and an abundance of historic buildings to gaze at including a fabulous 11th century church. Grab a ride on one of the steam trains from Tenterden Town Station and take in the lovely views of the unspoilt surrounding countryside as the train trundles down the track. The title "Tenterden, the Jewel of the Weald" is richly deserved. Free car parking in Bridewell Lane car park every Sunday and on Bank Holidays
Beautiful little town with nice shops, restaurants, easy parking and a fantastic steam railway. Highly recommended

This olde world high street is lovely to stroll through with its interesting architecture and plentiful independent shops with many eateries. It has a charming atmosphere.

If you do the little walking tour set out in the Visitor's guide to Deal you will see and discover the fascinating history of this town. Really worthwhile

If you stroll around, there are surprises in store. We discovered St John's Church Chichester, opened in 1818 with its triple decker pulpit near where parked, as one of the many historic buildings in the city centre, on this sunny Sunday, including the Chichester Cross and of course the cathedral itself. Lots of shops, cafes and coffee shops, it has a vibrancy that confirms what a high street should be like. The one downside is the empty House of Fraser, but frankly Chichester should be a city of small individual shops, not of department stores. It will be interesting to see what happens with the HofF buildings - there is a real opportunity to do something positive here...

Guildford is a unique shopping experience. Never ceases to amaze me how much choice there is for shops / restaurants, historical venues and walks from the High Street - Pewley Down is a MUST if you have the time! Wonderful views from High Street the further up you go, and there are great eating venues for even better views: The Ivy, Thai Terrance & House of Fraser stores. Guildford is easily accessible by train.
