If you are visiting Snowdonia/Eryri: do not miss this hike! Parking in the summer can be challenging, so it’s best to get here before 11am (9:30am if you want a spot in the paid parking lot). Many cars end up parking on the side of the road, but even that space fills quickly and can be a bit dangerous with little kids/buggies/etc. There is a stand that sells coffee and ice cream just next to the paid parking lot but pretty much all seating is outside so if the weather isn’t great, you might want to keep that in mind. The hike to the lake is a mild/moderate incline but generally well-maintained path with stone steps - for those who don’t hike much it’s absolutely do-able and fun, just take your time. Once you reach the lake, it’s mostly flat with some gentle inclines/declines. It can take anywhere from 45-90 minutes to do the entire loop from the parking lot to around the lake - the time depends on how fast you want to go. For the more more advanced hikers, this is also a gateway to more challenging hikes into Devils Kitchen and then beyond access to a range of some of the Eryri’s 3000s mountains (ie the Glyderau range). If you want to do the range, definitely start early but can be done in a day.

If you park at the Gower heritage center ( a small parking fee) , they will give you a small map for a lovely walk to the beach. Passing through a woodlands, pass a castle ruins on the jills with beautiful veiws and do wn theough the sand dunes , through a small river or over stepping stones onto a beautiful beach with transparent water. Since 2004 the team have been offering award-winning bird of prey flying experiences, where it’s all about you flying the birds yourself. Whilst our New Secret Owl Garden is being built you will still be able to book to come and fly the owls every day as normal. We are creating a ‘Mini Owl Garden’ which is safe and secure (and very cute!) at our beautiful new home at Celtic Holiday Parks, Noble Court, Narberth. This will be temporary for the owls whilst the new site is developed, but will still give you the same, personal and exciting opportunity to meet and fly the owls within an outstanding countryside landscape. Your flying experience is just about You and our Owls. So, you will have them and a member of the team all to yourself, enabling you to spend quality time with the owls in their home environment and then flying them free yourself. We offer both group sessions and private experiences!
What an experience. It was amazing. Very informative and great to be able to be up close and to interact with the owls. Superb value for money Educational a truly wonderful experience. Suitable for all ages. There are small owls you can fly or larger owls which are truly amazing to watch. Everyone will learn from this experience. A wonderful birthday or anniversary gift of simply a enjoyable family outing that everyone will enjoy. Thank you for this amazing experience we will be back Stewart & Lorna

We walked along the river from Hay Bridge following the old railway line. The path is through a wooded area then opens up to the meadow before reaching the shingle beach and swimming spot. A local artist has installed wooden sculptures along the path as you walk away, upstream from the bridge to the Warren - kingfisher, woodpecker, numerous owls. The Warren is a clean open area. Popular with families and dog walkers. Terrific for a paddle or swim. Or sit at watch the canoes and kayaks drift by coming down from Glasebury.

We are a Falconry business offering experience days, courses, Hen & Stag party entertainment, birthday parties and of course displays at shows. we also provide educational visits to schools, and pet therapy for care homes.
We chose the Hawk and archery experience. Spent the morning meeting and learning about four different types of birds of prey: a red kite, a barn owl, a harris hawk, and a falcon cross-breed. We were able to handle all except the falcon, having the birds fly to us for a food reward. Brilliant to get so close to these beautiful creatures. The falcon then demonstrated his impressive flying skills by flying the the lure. Then the birds were put away and after a lunch we spent a relaxed few hours trying to remember how to handle a bow and arrows, which we had both done before but not for some time. Ended up with a friendly competition. Lovely relaxed day to round off our holiday. We were well looked after by Roger and swapped lots of tales! COVID-19 safe as mostly outdoors and rubber gloves and sanitising gels etc. were supplied. We brough our own lunch but tea, biscuits, and cake were supplied. We would do this again.

Zip World Fforest offers an idyllic woodland setting for all your adventure needs. The heart of the site is the Fforest Coaster - based on the traditional toboggan but running on rails, it offers a year round, all-weather experience for ages 3 and up. There are two high ropes courses; Treehoppers for younger children (5-12 years) and Zip Safari 2 (9 years and up). You can bounce and explore to your heart's content on Treetop Nets; giant bouncy nets suspended in the trees, or experience the thrill of Skyride 2, Europe's highest five-seater swing. Drop 100ft alone or with a friend on the world's first tandem drop experience, Plummet 2. After all that adventure, why not relax, re-fuel and watch the action from one of our two on-site cafes. Open all year round.
Excellent experience for Halloween. As soon as you arrive the atmosphere is amazing. green haze over the forest and it was slightly misty, there was spooky noises, zombies walking around and it was very eerie. There were zombie nets to run across, good fun. included in the price were two goes each on the Forest Coaster , then for an additional price we did Europe’s highest giant swing, Skyride, and then Plummet which was great fun. Brilliant night and so much fun, Really well organised with great staff.
