Wildlife SOS Agra Bear Rescue Facility is home to nearly 200 sloth bears that were rescued from the brutal practice of bear dancing. The kalandar gypsies that depended on exploiting these bears were established in alternative livelihoods by Wildlife SOS to ensure the safety of the bears and a legal way of life for the community. This center is run entirely from Donations raised by Wildlife SOS. The Forest Department charges an Admission of Rs 500 for Foreign Nationals and Rs 50 for Indians. These fees do not go to support the bear rescue center. Wildlife SOS offers conservation educational visit combined with interaction with bear experts. A donation is requested from visitors to help care for the animals. Receipt is issued for donations. Wildlife SOS also runs India's only Elephant Hospital at the Elephant Conservation & Care Center, home to over 20 rescued elephants ; a 15 min drive from the bear sanctuary. Contact Wildlife SOS for more details.
Julia and I visited the elephants and we learnt so much about the terrible cruelty of the wonderful animals. Up close with the rescued elephants you could feel the love and care being taken to give them happy lives, a million miles away from the circuses, wedding accessories, and private toys of rich businessmen . We watched them being fed, washed medically cared for. Then we went to the sloth bear sanctuary which showed equally how wildlifeSOS are giving the lives back to these animals who have been used for human entertainment with such cruelty. Please visit both places and spread the word and support this charity that is not funded by the government.

I am sure the trip was very Memorable for me and my family where we had a great time . There are lots of migrant birds were spotted i am not sure about the individuals name but they looking so pleasing in eyes . Lakh Bahosi has not a very well organised place by Govt of UP there are no such highways and promotions on roads to promote this beautiful location where a thousand of tourist can come and visit . I think as my observation govt should plan some schemes to promote . Rest all was a good experience .

Kishanpur Sanctuary is part of the Dudwha Tiger Reserve. It is a relatively small area (about 200 square kilometers) with a relatively high number of tigers. For these reasons our guide assured us this was our best chance to see a tiger. This is a poor part of India and the facilities at the Sanctuary are basic. It also seems very disorganised but everything seems to get done. The Sanctuary is on the outskirts of a village and it is an unbelievable experience to be driven down the 'streets' between mud houses. The villages go about their daily life and take no notice of the occasional safari jeep. Once inside the Sanctuary you have to be impressed by the pristine jungle. In parts it is quite dense with the shade and shadow only being broken by a shaft of sunlight and in other areas the trees thin out to grassland, wetland and in one location a large lake. Tourists do not have free range in the sanctuary as some areas are partitioned off for local villages. We were in the Sanctuary for a full day as we were told the most likely time to see a tiger is either early morning or late afternoon. This meant an early start, leaving the park at lunch time and going back when it reopened. The park closed at about 4:30 - about an hour before night fall started. The sanctuary is not well known and the 'traffic' is minimal but it is rich in wildlife. We saw and heard no end of large and small birds including eagles and vultures, wild boars, endless species of deer and the illusive blue bull. On our last session we were fortunate to have a very good tiger sighting. She walked along the edge of the grasses - we watched her for about ten minutes before she disappeared into the grassland. We also experienced her call to a mate or cubs - the sensation of the vibration cannot be put into words. Our view through the whole experience was outstanding. The guides are obviously in contact with each other and yet I would say that there were no more than ten vehicles at the end for this incredible experience. We stayed at the excellent Jaagir Lodge which is just over one hour away by road. We had a private guide and private vehicle and our guide dealt with all of the formalities for entering the Sanctuary including 'registering' our passports. I strongly recommend the Dudwha Tiger Reserve and the Kishanpur Sanctuary to increase your chance of seeing a tiger.

Dudhwa National Park forms the core of the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve. We visited the park to enjoy the beauty of vast Terai grasslands, interspersed with woodlands and wetlands. The visit was productive, we could see a rhino, quite a few barasinga and at least 50 species of birds in one trip. Francolins and waterfowls were abundant. Hog deer was the key species in grasslands and spotted deer was most common. Good opportunity to photograph wildlife without getting blocked by many other vehicles. Accommodation at the Forest Rest House was simple and basic. A must visit for wildlife lovers. Look for a driver named ‘Deepak’ or guide named ‘Sonu’.

Located very near to Varanasi this place is a perfect break from bustling city life of Varanasi the lush green scenic beauty of this area looks amazing with an early morning sunrise. I booked a package tour and was served breakfast in the Jungle and then we headed for a jungle trekking and a visit to waterfalls which was amazing as it was early in the morning & chirping of birds and sounds of waterfall made the environment very serene & peaceful. Was lucky enough to site some Sloth bears and a group of Hyena during trekking our support staff told they have spotted Leopards in this jungle during evenings when they come out in search of water & food. The main attraction was a well organized tour to a nearby "Tribal Village" I was amazed by the simplicity of villagers here and ancient traditions & culture which they have still kept alive in their daily life. We were served Lunch which was prepared in local style & was served in earthen utensils,All in all this day tour is recommended for all of you who want to explore Varanasi in a different way and bring oneself close to nature.
