**Winners of Best Animal Welfare from the Tourism Authority of Thailand!** **Recognized by leading animal welfare charity World Animal Protection as a Best Practice Elephant Venue** We are very proud to bring the first elephant sanctuary to Koh Samui in Southern Thailand. Set on forest land, we offer a retirement home for elephants who have worked exhausting hours in the logging and tourism industries. Feed, walk with, and observe our gentle giants as they roam, socialise, bathe and enjoy a peaceful life that they so deserve. Join our morning or afternoon program knowing you are supporting ethical elephant tourism and helping to make a difference.
This is the only genuine elephant sanctuary on the island where elephant comes first, not the visitor. It’s worth every penny you pay, these people are saints and each elephant has its own minder who is making sure those old ladies have everything they need! These beautiful giants have been tortured, abused and have been working hard for most of their lives, this sanctuary makes sure it gives them the retirement and enjoyment they deserve. Sanctuary is purely self financed by the ticket sales and donations and all the money goes into making sure there is enough bananas and food for them as well as gives the sanctuary a chance to buy and save more elephants ( their price can reach 5 million bahts!). Make a difference, help them out, spend a day feeding and walking with elephants in their own environment, it will be a memory you will cherish for life! Thank you for reading this.

Getting up close and personal with these amazing animals was one of the highlights of our trip to Koh Samui. Not only was it educational, you can clearly see they care for the elephants properly and you get to spend a lot of time with them. Be responsible, please don't ride elephants!

Spend some time with gender giants. A chance to care for Elephants and see them at their most playful-watch out for splashing and bathing.
A must visit when in Khao Sok. Recently visited with our family to the sanctuary on a drive day trip from Phuket and was so surprised to see how well the elephants are treated. Had read some previous reviews so was a bit nervous. Wanted an experience that was natural and not invasive to the most amazing animals and this tour ticked the boxes. The sanctuary has certainly been able to make the lives of the elephants and the conditions for them the best possible. I learned that they want to make the experience for everyone as real as possible and it was a great opportunity for us to not only observe and learn about them but also feed the elephants by hand. Great photo opportunities and perfect for any age. Thanks to the team at Khao Sok Sanctuary for the difference you are making to the way elephants are treated.

I think the only way to get to the cave is part of an excursion to Cheow Lan lake. It's a fabulous day trip and the cave is part of the day. We went from Khao Sok, the drive is about an hour then we took a long boat across the lake past the Rajjaprapha dam. The area was flooded in 1987 to form a 165 km2 lake. The lake is stunning, likened to Halong Bay, Vietnam. After lunch and swim at one of the floating settlements we went to shore to walk around an hour through the jungle to take a bamboo raft over to the cave. The track is up and down and there's a bit if climbing, its not suitable for everyone so best to check it's ok if you're not sure. The cave isn't huge but interesting. I did worry that although we're asked not to touch any of the stalactites and stalagmites, there's no barrier to stop you. You return the same way which is all part of a fabulous day excursion.

Happiness you can touch.
If you want to see how the elephants should be treated, i must go for this place! Please, don´t go for a ride in elephants, please, go to Samui Care! The guide and all staff are good prepared to explain you all the things about elephants and more, you will have an experience that you will never forget! You need to reserve this trip with an agency, It´s not possible to go directly there.

Worth the trip up the hill... we made the mistake of trying to walk as the taxi would not take us. Some passer buys offered a lift which we accepted. There are no taxis to take you back. Beautiful park. Lots of animal interaction. Mountain goats, rabbits and so much more. Loved the views and infinity pool.
