Giant Spruce Park is located on the shores of the Kitimat River flood plain. The remains of a previously registered "largest living Sitka Spruce in BC" can be found in the park. The tree measures 11.2 metres in circumference (36.7 feet) and once stood 50.32 metres tall (165 feet).
I’ve been too the Sitka Spruce a few times. It’s very tall but over the years it has shortened in height. Very quiet and peaceful. I found no matter how hot it was outside it was nice and cool. Watch out for bears????
