This is a great walk with a friend or solo. it's safe as there are always lots of people day and evening. Great place to jog too. Easy walk to good restaurants of many styles. Love to breath in the sea air. You will see bald eagles sitting atop trees, seals, ducks, sometimes otters. There is a dog portion on the walk and a portion where no dogs are allowed, so good for all. Nice sunsets, great view on the Lionsgate bridge and many ships; many photo opportunities. I even like it when it's storming and the waves are crashing up splashing the walkway.

This is a tiny cliffside park with access to the beach and scuba diving sites. Beautiful panoramic views of Howe Sound and Bowen Island can be found here, as well as grassy areas and picnic sites. It's a beautiful quick photo op for those visiting Horseshoe Bay.
This is a great park to do a day trip to. Hop on the 250 Horseshoe Bay WEST VAN bus and get off at the park sign (ask the driver to let you know when the bus gets to it). its a beautiful wooded park on a peninsula in a wealthy residential area of West Vancouver.

Named for the Point Atkinson Lighthouse located on its grounds, this coastal and rugged park is popular for day hikes. A beautiful old growth temperate rainforest along Burrard Inlet offers several easy walking trails with beautiful panoramic views.
We went on a weekday morning and it was not very crowded, I could see that it would be popular in a sunny summer weekend though. We explored the paths and descended to East Beach and climbed the rocks at low tide. The kids learned about lighthouses and liked exploring the beach. By the time we left mid-afternoon the parking lot was jammed, so plan ahead!

The first and last kilometer or so we're the absouye worst as they were practically vertical. I'm a very new beginner and I had to take a lot of breaks. However everything in between was so much fun. Spectacular views and lots to explore. Round trip was about 2.5 hours and 5 km. Again, I'm a beginner and we took picture breaks. Worth it!
