The Marsupial Park is a native animal experience unlike any other in NSW, the 14-hectare park has free entry. Children can get close to kangaroos, wallabies, cockatoos and emus, spot the species in the free-flight aviary and hand feed the Indian peacocks. Within the Marsupial Park is the community-built Adventure Playground which has two distinct areas: one for under-5s and another for over-5s. It encourages children to use their fine and gross motor-skills – and of course, their imagination. There are barbecue facilities and bathrooms.
This free attraction is the BEST attraction in town if you have young kids. The park inside is fun and well maintained, the animals are great and interactive. It’s all run by volunteers (make sure you help out in the little red box on the way out) and a lot of the animals are rescued. Whilst you see more animals with damaged wings or singe legs the character of these cheeky residents shine through. Go and give it a go, I promise you will not be disappointed.

Located in Tamworth, 2 km from the CBD, at top of White Street, Oxley Scenic Lookout has views of the city of Tamworth and Peel River Valley. It has toilet and picnic facilities and is accessible from 7:00am to 10:00pm daily.
A very short drive from town. We got up there no trouble in a motorhome. Lovely picnic area when you get to the top and great views of the city and surrounding countryside. Make sure you go.

Great park with great amenities including a playground for the kids, cafe that serves great food, ponds, sculptures and artwork throughout. Easy access and parking with many walkways, which makes this accessible by wheelchair. There is also an outdoor gym section next to the kids cycle area. Would recommend for walking/cycling and family fun.

I’m not sure why the below reviews but I can’t fault them. Super super clean (and super covid safe). Great coffee and kids menu. Owners are welcoming. I have been 4 days in a row as we are visiting and my 1 year old and 4 year old have had a great time. You can take your own water and fruit but obviously (from a fellow business owner), if all they charged was the entry fee then how could they survive, I don’t mind buying food especially if it’s helping a local family. There are also signs around asking you not to bring in your own food so I guess it’s whether you choose to respect their rules or not. I guess you jut don’t go if you don’t want to respect them. Anyhoo, back to the review: Kidzone is a great business. Well done to the owners. I’ll definitely be back every time we visit the Tamworth. Thanks for making mumlife easier and allowing me to enjoy a coffee in peace ????

Fantastic place! Kids track suitable for toddlers and balance bikes. Great park for when they get bored of riding, all in shaded area. Bring a picnic and you're set for hours

Water level at 23 percent sounded grim so wasn't sure what to expect. Delighted to get a lovely water view from powered site 5 which gave a front row seat to the lake and abundant bird life. Facilities as with all reflections managed properties, were clean and very well maintained. Dogs are welcome and there's a beaut camp kitchen and splash park. Staff were very polite and helpful. Very happy we visited and booked an extra night.

The dam at present has only 19% of its capacity of water due to the drought. The morning glory structure is many metres out of the water instead of being covered.
