Jack's Cat Cafe is Central Vietnam's first cat cafe and homes over 50 rescue cats. You can enjoy coffee, tea, juices and vegetarian food in a beautiful garden setting with all the kitties.
This place is more of a kitty sanctuary than a cat cafe. And this is meant in very good way. The volunteers are extremely welcoming and kind. The cats are very sweet. When we went there were around 50+ cats roaming the open court yard. My kids (15, 12, and 10) absolutely loved it. I would highly recommend this to animal lovers who are looking to just relax from the usual touristy activities in Hoi An. I would suggest that if you bring young children, make sure they are understanding how to act with the cats as some of them may be nervous.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed a very relaxing massage and appreciated very much that we could have it next to each other at the same time! We were welcomed with a lemonade by a very lovely young Vietnamese women, who proudly told us about her two little sons in very good English! We stayed for dinner at the family restaurant next door- very delicious home made food! We recommend to go there straight after the relaxing massage! Highly recommended place, especially because of the very friendly atmosphere! Thank you!

Tra Nhieu is officially recognized as an ecological village by the province of Quang Nam to preserve its rich traditional farming and fishing life.
As Murrels Inlet is to Myrtle Beach, this place is to Hoi An, but much more authentically so. I took a morning bike ride, (very safe; allow yourself to get lost), and it was before there would be much or any pressure to rent a "basket boat" from the locals, and it was some of my favorite sight-seeing. There are coconut groves in the water and old fishing huts and river life that's as interesting as it is beautiful.

Should go to explore this lake, so fresh and wild. The view was excellent. You can bring some foods and drinks for camping. Really nice!

From Hoi An’s centre, a short ferry ride will take you to Cam Kim Island, an interesting place for an early morning cycle, which deserves to be added into this checklist of Hoi An attractions. Cam Kim Island is renowned for its woodcarving village (Kim Bong) and boasts peaceful countryside. Tourists could find other crafts here too, such as the basket fishing boats made by locals and the colorful woven sedge mats. One of the highly recommended activities when visiting Cam Kim Island is to peddle through corn and rice fields around it, even without the tour-guide. Don’t worry, you will not get lost there, and the experience will be particularly worthwhile.

About 7km away from Tam Ky City Centre, Tam Thanh beach is a very beautiful, uncommercialized with few resorts, restaurants or services. Travelers who come here during summer time ( peak season is from April to July) can enjoy this hidden gem with emerald water, safe-for-swiming water level, and a perfect get-away from the busy cities.
Stunning beach visited on a day out from Hoi An. I went in a shared taxi to Tam Ky-60,000vnd one way, then motorcycle to the beach. Well worth the effort, I walked several kms along a pristine beach, no hassle from vendors then strolled through the colourful village where the houses have stunning murals painted on the sides. my accommodation booked the shared taxi, the last one back leaves at 1700

Not cheap, but worth it. Great fun and an easy, hassle free way to see some of the countryside. My guide/rider was really helpful, and the price included lovely cold towels and water to refresh with. Definitely recommend.
