This is really well worth a visit. Set within lovely grounds, with many trees, shrubs etc. Good footpaths and interesting areas with streams, pools etc. Very interesting to see the abundance of wildlife in seemingly natural surroundings was a delight to see. Good to be able to identify the different animals, birds and reptiles up close. Very well kept areas.

I spent a week there with my family helping out as volunteers It was amazing: unique environment in a superb amazonian forest with a river flowing through, great and diversified activities to help out the fantastic animals that are being rescued there The hosts are truly passionate about their cause and very warm and welcoming Other visitors also share the same passion Easy to go from / to the city A must-see/go

We volunteered here for three weeks and had a fabulous time. The ownwers are dedicated to the animals and receive no funding from anywhere so all your donations will help benefit the animals. Well worth a visit if in Puyo. Take your swimming costume as well as there is a great pool, very reasonably priced food and drinks at the restaurant.

We are a Centre that shelter wild animals coming from the illegal trade and some other types of slavery situations by humans. Here, in the ecuadorian Amazon rainforest, we try to provide them a natural sanctuary for their improvement and in this way to approach the chance of releasing them into their habitat. Currently we work with volunteers from all over the world who support our work

Zanja Arajuno is situated in the Ecuadorian rainforest, north of Puyo. We are a conservation center with focus on investigations on local wildlife, protection of the biodiversity of the Amazonian rainforest and promotion of self-sufficient living as well as collaboration with local community. We invite everyone interested in those fields to join us as volunteers.
The Wildlife Rescue Center, since 2012, has watched over the health and comes from wild animals victims of illegal traffic, for which with volunteer and tourism programs it rehabilitates these species guaranteeing them a better life.
