Lots to see and read. Walk the path and hear the men marching. Read descriptions of Gallipoli to Armistice as well as read words on the path to the end of the war. Also other free standing statues.

A small native zoo in Maryborough Queensland. Many native parrots, kangaroos, wallabies, snakes, lizards, and other native animals, Dingoes. Recently renovated and improved. Low entry fees, photo opportunities with native animals. Dingo and reptile encounters cost $5 reptile & $10 Dingo encounter were you get to get up close with them .
Native Aussie Animals up close. I'm almost embarrassed to say that I have lived in the region for over ten years and this was my first visit to this establishment. My two grand daughters and I enjoyed it immensely. The place is run by volunteers and is so well maintained. We totally enjoyed interacting with the animals and birds. Would recommend a visit to everyone, particularly overseas visitors. Just a lovely way to spend an hour plus.

This park is nicely maintained and has a lot on offer. Allow enough time to wander around the whole park or you could miss something. There’s a beautiful military tribute including bronze statues and audio information, rotundas, waterfall, lovely views of the Mary River, interesting trees (not sure what they were) and a replica Mary Ann train. The train is only available on Thursday mornings and one Sunday a month. It travels around one side of the park and back and charges a small fee which is well and truely worth it as run by volunteers.

This place was one of the highlights of our trip. The roses were all out in bloom and we could have spent forever looking at them. It was truly a lovely way to start our morning. We met some of the volunteers who tend to the gardens and they were absolutely lovely.
