In the Muslim religion, Muhammad received his first revelation from God on this mountain.
A nice walk with my husband and child, great views all the way up, encountering many stalls and gift shops from start to finish and, once you reach the top of Jabal Noor you see the cave of Hira - limited in size and space with a nice view of Mecca and the sight of the new clock tower - once able to see the Kaaba from there but now with the new construction and buildings not possible, its nice view to visit night time before fajr.

Must visit place in KSA. Even though its quite long drive from Taif it is worth to visit this wonderful site. 250kms drive from Taif city. Ideal time to visit this site early morning or evening after 3pm. During day time exploring the site will be little difficult. Its kind of adventure trip. take more water bottles if planning to explore the site. One of must visit place in KSA bucket list done.

We came in the evening after Maghrib. Just in time for the musical fountain to start playing. The show was only for 15 minutes. Just don't expect Dubai Mall type of display and you will not be disappointed. The whole place is huge that it takes about an hour to walk around the trek. There is a light garden which has variety of objects lit in various colours. They are only switched on in the evenings and they are very beautiful. There's an open space just outside of the park where visitors can hire ponies, horses or even camels for rides.

We like to avoid crowds so we commenced our visit at 1pm. Parking at the Aquarium's garage is readily available at that time (attached to the Southside of the Aquarium) and there are no lines to purchase tickets or to enter the main building. The aquariums in the building are beautiful and modern. Our children enjoyed the tour - we traveled at their pace (the visit finished in 1 hour). There is a quirky toy store / candy shop 2/3rds through the tour which received 5 stars from the children (the candy swayed the vote). Fakieh Aquarium is clean and the path through the museum intuitive. The Aquarium is well managed. We have visited several times and gladly will do so again. The Blue Ocean Restaurant at the Aquarium serves fresh seafood. At the end of a visit to the Aquarium, the restaurant is good place to rest your feet. The meals and service are top notch - as good as any restaurant we visited during our week long tour of this Region of Saudi Arabia.
