Very much worth the 2 hour drive from Popayan to see an incredible part of the country. At the entrance to the park, at the fork in the road is where you will find a guide - definitely worth the fee and I believe it's mandatory to take a park guide with you. Our guide was friendly and made sure we saw all the spots in our own time. Although he only spoke spanish and us only english communication was easy. If you haven't made it out of the big cities into the mountains I highly recommend visiting this national park

This site is usually visited as part of a full day jeep tour that takes you to the more remote sites around San Agustin. There are 2 viewing point. The first is just by the parking lot which gives you a look at the full height of the waterfall and it's gorge. a 5 minutes walk dirt path will take you to the 2nd viewing ramp above the waterfall. a great photo opp standing in mid air looking down at the roaring waters. Spectacular.
