Not a lot of people know about this beach. Just a 15 to 20 minutes walk from Seven Seas Beach, you will discover one of the most unique beaches in the area. You maybe the only person at this beach. Do not disturbe the turtle nest!

30 minute hike to the left through the jungle. Water much more treacherous to swim in than Seven Seas which is reef protected. But, it looks more like the Atlantic Ocean than what you see at Seven Seas. The beach is secluded and beautiful.

A private island where Wyndham El Conquistador guests are often ferried for more water activities.
Where do I begin, it was an experience of a lifetime water so clear , private island , that also has jet skies, horse back riding , things for kids and also adult fun with liquor , something everyone should experience , must stay at el conquistador or do a private charter either way worth it

Icacos island is so beautiful! We ended up going with Captain Mingo! He’s the best! If you’re ever in Puerto Rico, I recommend visiting this island WITH captain mingo. He made our experience fun and easy. The place was easy to find as well.

A bioluminescent lagoon, mangroves, coral reefs, dry forests, sandy and rocky beaches set between headlands--visit all these ecosystems in one place, the Cabezas de San Juan Nature Reserve, in Fajardo. You'll find one of our most frequented visitor centers here, and it's only steps away from the best resorts in the area. You can take traditional, night and thematic tours from here--on bike, kayak or trolley--always in the company of a nature specialist who will show you everything about the ecosystems, landscapes and wildlife of the reserve, including the breathtaking view of the northeast tip of Puerto Rico from the top of the Fajardo Lighthouse. Multiple tours available by booking online. Spaces are limited, please reserve in advance online or by phone.
I had been wanting to visit the Fajardo lighthouse for awhile and was finally able to do so. I'm glad I did! The tour lasts about two hours and includes a very informative look into the ecosystems of the preserve, and then the lighthouse. The views from the lighthouse are stunning, and the building itself is lovely. It's the second oldest lighthouse in PR. You absolutely must make reservations ahead of time to experience the lighthouse and take a tour. They offer only one English language tour per day and it's at 2:00 pm. During the summer months, this can make it rather warm. Follow their guidelines of wearing closed-toe shoes (you'll be exploring a rocky beach--difficult to walk on in flip-flops). You might want a hat and some water. They prefer you use a reuseable water bottle. For those doing a night tour of the bio-bay, this is a nice pre-trip.

One of the three bioluminescent bays in PR - others are in Vieques and in SW of Island.
Even though we went on a night with a relatively full moon, the experience was unlike anything else. The kayak tour was easy and left lots of time to marvel at how the neon water spilled off our paddles and swirled with each stroke.
