I actually thought this was the best beach in the national park. Easy access down to the beach , some sheltered areas and a good walk is on offer around the bay if you want too. BBQ and seating facilities are available too away from the wind in comfortable areas as well. Easy swimming beach here and a few walking trails to other bays here too , a great place to spend a few hours.

We visited here on Valentines day and enjoyed the beach immensely, despite the rather cold winds. The lagoon is just gorgeous and provides a really great little safe patch to swim. The clothing optional part of the beach beach is around the corner quite a way from the main beach which is fantastic as it gives you privacy away from those curious eyes who always seem to 'oops, i strolled too far' for a peek. We got down to our birthday suits and didnt feel self conscious, there were a few other couples and singles there of assorted ages and all were just enjoying the sunshine and surf. If clothing optional is not your thing, the prudies beach is also very lovely and worth a visit for a swim. Highly recommend beach. No facilities, so byo water, picnic, and sunscreen.

Marvel at the dramatic rocky headlands, sheltered bays and tall eucalyptus woodlands on Woody Island Nature Reserve- only a 40-minute ferry ride from Esperance. Rich in history, Woody Island is one of 105 islands in the Recherche Archipelago (commonly known as the Bay of Isles) and is the only island open to visitors for day trips and camping. Woody Island lacks snakes and introduced predators, making it a haven for wildlife such as birds and lizards. Learn about the Island’s history and get close to nature during the guided hike Island Top bushwalk • Snorkel in the crystal clear waters of Shearwater Bay and colourful marine life (snorkeling gear for rent) • Exploring the nature trails & boardwalks taking in spectacular views of the island • Fishing from the main jetty is also popular – keep an eye out for playful dolphins and inquisitive sea lions! With a wealth of things to see and do, a trip to Woody Island is a must when visiting Esperance.
Woody Island simply gets better! I have been coming here annually for at least 12 years, but the last two visits have excelled. New canvas tents, with comfortable double beds, a hard and soft pillow, crisp white sheets. All set under trees with ocean views. The island is a 240ha nature reserve with stunning walk trails having views of the coastline and islands in the archipelago. Wildlife includes numerous bird species, quails, skinks, kangaroos....but no snakes. The visitors Center has stunning ocean views, a bar and a small but tasty menu. If you want a totally relaxing holiday, this takes some beating.

This is hands down the PRETTIEST beach I’ve ever seen. The sand is so fine it squeaks as you walk on it, the water is turquoise. This beach is the closest thing to paradise. It’s definitely a hidden gem, and if you’ve got an 4WD you can drive all the way down to the beach, or park 50m away and walk down. The surrounding plants are just stunning as well, and it’s everything you can dream of to bring your partner, family or friends down. Hi

Amazing views over Esperance, from the harbour, township and beautiful ocean views. You can turn a full circle and there are spectacular views all round.

We went here on a cooler cloudy day & were really impressed with this place. Whilst it’s smaller than other animal parks we’ve been to it was a great place. It’s free for under 3s which was a great bonus for us & our 2yr old. Good value for adults. Animal food was cheap too. They have a little tyke car area with about 7 cars amongst other toys like scooters which can be used for kids to get around the park - an awesome bonus for our little person who usually gets tired legs quite quickly! There is also a cubby house area & sandpit too. Inside the cafe there are some boxes of toys which helped us eat lunch in peace! Food was lovely - wraps were loaded & tasty, big breakfast also great cooked well & not greasy. Tracey who runs it was lovely, super friendly & welcoming, happy to chat about the animals they rehabilitate which was lovely to hear about. Only comment to make is the signs on the paddock areas need updating some were a bit tricky to read. All in all a great few hours out for young families!
