Gaidourohora (Donkey's land) is the Greek Center for the Donkey, created in order to protect this animal and promote it as a companion and as means of therapy for disabled children. When visiting you can join a group lesson, getting to know donkeys, practice on their care and participate in extra activities with them. You can also stay and relax, have a pick nick, enjoy the calmness and beauty of nature. You can also book a donkey trekking and experience an adventure walking by the side of donkeys in the fields or hills of the area. Donkeys may carry light bags with food and drinks. Having a donkey companion is a unique experience and you will soon find out how their docile and tender character can have an amazing influence on you!
My wife and I visited Donkeys Land in late October 2019. The place , the animals and the people were all amazing . Nestled amongst the beautiful olive groves just outside of Koropi the donkeys , Chica , Dimitri and Tatiana made us so welcome . Having travelled fairly widely throughout Greece , this was one of our ‘best ever’ trips or experiences. I would I highly recommend anyone who cherishes animals to visit . Amazing - Superb - Educational .

Attica Zoological Park offers its visitors a unique journey to the five continents, through the lives of over 2.000 animals, from 350 species.A self-funded creation, extends to a total area of 20 hectares, hosting more than 2000 animals from 350 different species. It is located in Spata area near Athens International Airport
Is the best zoo in Greece and for what is offering to its visitors the orice for the ticket is very good. You are able to see all the animals, take beautiful pictures and in some cases you can walk among them. The show with the dolphins is priceless. The staff shows real interest and love to the animals. You could see their reactions with the dolphins. The park is really huge. It has sitting areas scattered around. It took us 4 hours to see everything and read about each animal. It also has playground for the kids and a cafe where you can eat something. I fully recommend it!!!!!!

Vouliagmeni Lake, in the heart of the Athenian Riviera, is the hidden treasure of Attica’s nature. Situated on an idyllic landscape, this rare geological phenomenon is included in Greece's national NATURA 2000 network. Its brackish waters, rich in salts and minerals, have a temperature between 22o to 29o degrees all year round. Waters are continuously replenished both by the sea and the underground thermal springs, 50 to 100 meters deep, offer a natural and unique thermal spa experience. Swimming in the lake is more than pleasurable, it’s a holistic experience, stimulating the swimmers’ energy and balancing their wellness. The Garra Rufa fish – known as spa fish –are part of the Lake’s unique ecosystem. Sunbeds and umbrellas are offered around the Lake’s shoreline. An all-day restaurant offers a culinary experience. Prive Area promises moments of lavishness and complete relaxation. Lifeguarding/medical services, Parking, Cabins, Lockers, Showers, Accessibility, Wi – Fi, Kids corner.
Excellent place to swim in the middle of the winter. Chose a day when atmosphere temperature is around 20 degree (the Lake water temperature is always around 20 in the winter) and you will have nice beach experience including comfortable sunbathing. There are all facilities that you need at such a place. Water is quite refreshing and not cold at all and provide very comfortable swimming.

I like megalo kavouri (big crab) mostly because is still free with good blue waters. The surrounding environment reminds a lot island with many pine trees and sand hills!

Marathon Lake is absolutely beautiful, and a "classic" dam make s it more attractive. It is not necessarily a tourist attraction, but a very nice place to stop and relax before heading out to your next destination.
