We just happened to come across this wonderful nature reserve on a drive. It is one of only 11 such remnants of rainforest remaining in the Far North Coast and has a wonderful diversity of rainforest species. We visited just after the rent rain event so the 300 metre boardwalk was strewn with branches and leaves and even a fallen tree. The walk was wonderful and we really like seeing the Strangler Figs and the liana vines and listening to the calls of so many birds. There is a nice grassy picnic area with tables, a bbq and a drop toilet. There is also an interesting information board.

Had a lovely walk, beautiful spot. The sea was rough, wow, but, how wonderful to see. There was a class of high school kids, well behaved and enjoyed the excursion.

Best to go after it has rained and there is a decent waterflow. Waterfall was flowing well when we went so the water was nice and clean. Beautiful spot, best in the morning when there aren't many people doing the walk. Not far from the car park. Lots of mosquitos when we went.

Just down from the apartments we were staying in this park was just perfect for an early morning walk on the waterfront. Grab a tea or coffee from one of the local cafes and enjoy both the park and the Richmond River.
