On the date of 11.21.1966 (Nr.96), the cabinet credited the area of Theth, with a surface of 2630 ha: from which 1680 ha are forest along the sea-line and the other part is gas-plot and grust. It is now declared a “National Park” and is overseen by the D.SH.P, district of Shkodra. Thethi Nature in SpringThe “National Park of Theth” lies into the center of the Albanians Alps, between the block “Bjeshket te Nëmuna” on the west, and the block of Jezerca on the east. Thethi is a tourist – alpinist region and it is the most important one north of the country. It is only 70 km away from the city of Shkodra. It is a part of the commune Shalë within the region of Dukagjin. The park is surrounded from all four angles with pitons (rocky) of the two blocks above, which ascend down towards the valley and create an amazing view. Some of the most astonishing parts of this national park are the followingThe peak of Radoines (2570m), Arapit (2217m), Paplukës (2569m), Alisë (2471m) etc. Hanging 750–80
I had some wonderful days hiking both in Theth and Valbona Valleys. Beautiful landscape, amazing mountains and woods - and the unforgetable nights filled with fireflies. And I mean filled... after sunset this most beautiful show would start, everywhere you looked you had dozens of small lights afloat in the air. The food was also great, some of the best yogurt and vegetables I ever had, and the people really nice.

The 230 h Grand Park is located in the southern end of Tirana. it is a beautiful place to walk, stroll, bike, jog or run, depending on one's energy level! Regardless of your chosen activity, the park is a pleasant escape from the crowded city centre and a chance to enjoy fresh air, nature and tranquility.

Booked tour at the tourist center a day in advance. A 30min bumpy ride later and you have beautiful nature and a magical waterspring that is crystal blue! Wish we had more time to explore the surroundings and maybe eat by the water! Try to go early or else it will be quite crowded!

Along with Berat and Gjirokaster, Butrint left the strongest impression on our 2 week Albania tour. It's an UNESCO heritage site, not to be missed if you're in Albania's south. Butrint national park is just a 10 min drive south of Ksamil. There's a big parking lot in front, and the entrance fee is low as around 6 Euros. The site dates back to 8th c BC, showing the Mediterranean historic timeline. Within the site you'll find Hellenic, Roman, Byzantine, Venetian and Ottoman heritage. Highlights not to be missed include: - Hellenic Lake and Lion gates from 4c BC - ancient Roman theater from 3rd c. and Roman baths, - Agora from Greek era, later Roman Forum as a center of civic and commercial life, - remains of 6th c Byzantine Baptistery, - Great Basilica from 6th c (perfect), - Acropolis on the middle hilltop with a small museum and great views, - Venetian tower. All around the park, there are explanations in English which is great and makes it very easy to navigate and understand. Great souvenirs inside the park at very reasonable prices. Count on around 2 hours for a visit.

Along the whole lake, from Fierza to Koman, on a trip that lasts less than three hours, visitors can be amazed at the views they offer. Ferry trips or a smaller boat offer unrepresented pleasure, while the attraction itself is the villages of this area and the streams of some rivers flowing into the lakes. I can freely say that Koman Lake is one of the most beautiful places and most worth visiting in Albania. Staying in this area is an indescribable adventure. you can visit amazing, fairytale places, many of them unexplored before, which can be quite rightly called paradise on earth, such as the Shala River and the cave of this river,

Came down to Gjipe for a day, but stayed for the night since there is camp at the beach. Also there are a few bars/restaurants at the location. We left the car at the parking, and went down on foot beacuse the road to the beach is driveable only by 4x4 vehicles.

I love this beach because there is a love of space. Beach is with pebbles, crystal clear waters, you can rent umbrellas or have your own, and you can eat very good dishes in some local tavernas with reasonable prices. Among them i would suggest Angelos restaurant.
