It is the only museum in the country with a theme about life in the terrestrial waters, seas and oceans of the world. *Muzeul Apelor Mihai Bacescu din Falticeni este singurul muzeu din ţară cu o tematică despre viaţa din apele terestre, din mările şi oceanele lumii.

My children are 3 and 1 years old. They were impressed by the fish tanks, the seashells and the stuffed animals. I think it was a fun time even if we visited the museum în less than an hour.

Grigore Antipa National Museum of Natural History

“Grigore Antipa” National Museum of Natural History is one of the oldest research institutions in the field of biodiversity and public education. It is in the same time one of the well-known and highly appreciated “databases” due to the Museum’s collections, some of them valuable assets of the worldwide thesaurus.

Went at weekends with my husband: price per adult 20 lei plus 10 lei photo fee so was more than decent. The museum is very interesting, the items are very well presented and described, they put tablets to find more info but I think due to the COVID situation these tablets were off. It takes you from stuffed animals to history of the vertebrates, human body and organs, fossils to gems and all kind of stones; there is even a small cave which was super wow. All in all we loved it a lot

Dino Parc

Dino Parc Râșnov is the biggest dinosaur theme park in Eastern Europe, an unique and special project in Romania. Constantly we are considering to improve, and this year we developed a new area in our park with dinosaurs and prehistoric animal that lived on our territory, in Hațeg more specifically. It has a lot of particularities, but the most important are the 100 dinosaurs. Each one of them has a scientific certificate, according to the latest palaeontologists’ findings. The dinosaurs are reproduced in natural size, on a 1 to 1 scale. They are made of fibreglass and a special resin, having a guarantee for 50 years. Another very important attraction in our park is Seismosaurus, the biggest dinosaur that ever lived on planet Earth and it has 45 meters long. More than that, there is a chronological route to visit them, with sounds, lights and interactive panels with very interesting information regarding dinosaur’s life and behaviour.

Lots of fun, not just for kids! As two grown-up friends, we worried that the Dino Parc might not be for us: The parc definitely aims for the young crowds with lots of fun and activities, but the dinosaurs spread throughout the park are well made and impressive also for the adult visitor. There's information boards that give plenty of interesting facts and there are some great photo opportunities too. Had a great couple of hours in the park!

The place is beautiful and green. Sadly, because of the Covid pandemic, you can't visit the museum. You can visit the village museum. It is beautiful and has a loooot of houses from different regions. It also has equestrian lessons..but again, because of the pandemic, they are not available.
