An art gallery with a selection of figurative and abstracts painters and sculptors coming from different places in the world. This art gallery id near the sea and in a very nice part of Toulon which was a village of fishermen in old times. Now, the "Rue Lamalgue" is a little street with nice shops for decoration and clothes, for food, antique stores and art galleries. English, Russian and ukrainian speaking.

So much to see in this marvellous museum I had to go back a second time to see it all. Lots of extraordinary, traditional exhibits with meaningful explanations provided by the multilingual information devices. Very pleasant atmosphere and extremely educational and informative. The gift shop is small but has some lovely pieces - reasonably priced.

Situé dans un cadre avec une vue extraordinaire, le Mémorial s'intègre dans un monument historique dédié au débarquement de Provence lors de la 2ème guerre mondiale.
We had no idea of the Provenance Landings which seem to have been overshadowed by the Normandy equivalent in history. This museum was really well presented walking you through the history of WW2 and the role that allied forces and especially the French had in liberating the south of the country. To get to the museum we took a cable car which offered outstanding views of Toulon and the Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier. A really excellent visit that I would highly recommend.

Sculpture park. In the heart of a Mediterranean landscape, this open-air museum exhibits the sculptures of Maria de Faykod. Around fifty white marble sculptures are harmoniously arranged inside a vast natural area, where art and the playing elements of nature are in perfect osmosis ; also with the opportunity to meet the Artist and visit her studio.
