Katanski Art Gallery was established by Attorney at Law, Artour Katanski and his wife, Vera Katanski in 2010, to provide opportunities to artists entering the local and global art market. Located in Suzdal, the heart of the famous Golden Ring of Russia, Katanski Art Gallery occupies the ground floor of the historical trading rows with an amazing view of Kamenka River. The gallery is frequented by art lovers looking to find and buy original artworks. The Gallery is the best place in Suzdal to see over 300 hand-colored etching and oil paintings.

The white buildings contrast with the bright flower gardens tended by the nuns. If you are fortunate enough to visit during a service you will experience the melodic singing of the nuns. Women need to cover their heads before entering the church.

It is one of the best open-air museums of wooden architechture in Russia. If we are talking about the close proximity to Moscow, probably it is the museum you should visit. As for the museum, you can visit different churches - winter and summer one, as well as different housing types - for rich and poor peasants. I was there with a large group that had a guided tour so my visit was quite long and it was worth it.
