The interior of this church is stunning, the decoration is of very high quality and there is a peaceful contemplative atmosphere. We were told by our excellent guide Annalise that it was done by a top painter from Palermo and what the different colours signify. The tour of the tower was interesting, the daughters of the wealthy families were sent here as nuns, but it is now a seminary for the priesthood. It was an easy climb up to the tower with no scary drops, and there are 360 degree views from the top.

The remains of the villa are set in countryside from which you can see Noto just beneath the mountain. The mosaics themselves are a bridge into a different time and they are awe inspiring.
