Art & Craft Studio running workshops in Stained Glass Art, Glass Fusion/Inclusion, Encaustic Wax, Painting & Drawing for Beginners, Mixed media, Textile Sculpture, Printing without a press. Great student/teacher ratio. Full day workshops lunch include. And all the materials required for your chosen workshops are included too – and you get to take home everything you make!!
Did a series of evening classes with my wife and friends, learning how to make leaded glass panels. Right from the start Mike and Jenny made us feel welcome. They explained each stage of the process and all the new skills needed simply with demonstrations of what to do, and what not to do! They helped when we got it wrong and we all came away with a nice piece to display. They made it fun all the way, supplied all the tools and materials plus tea and biscuits. What more could you ask?

Towcester is a great little town to explore with lots of cute cafes and little shops down historical alleyways and set inside old buildings. The Towcester museum is just off the main high street and there is a nearby car park which is free and usually always has spaces so its really easy to get to! The museum itself is very reasonable in price at £3.50pp and we definitely spent an hour in there reading and looking around the gift shop. The shops has lots of cute things for kids and adults, lots of decent books too from local historians which is always nice to see. Of youre local to Towcester and have ever wondered about the history of your area then this is a great little place to have a look around. The Towcester trail maps from the museum are also handy as we used it to explore the town afterwards!

This small museum is hidden away in the northamptonshire countryside ; it is full of WW2 and similar military artefacts ; the staff are knowledgeable and are glad to answer any questions ; I think young children may soon get bored but if it’s your sort of thing you may never want to go home ;

This gallery is just the right size for enjoyment of the art displayed, it is not too big so all the exhibits can be viewed without feeling overwhelmed. The guide booklet listed the exhibits clearly and there were helpful descriptions on the walls too, with information on the artists and some of the subjects. I went with my husband who is more "into" art than me, but I found the whole exhibition fascinating and I'm glad I travelled there from Nottingham for it.
