I thought this would involve pointing out constellations, etc. However, our guide set up an excellent telescope with great lenses, which allowed us to see nebula, star clusters, and rotating galaxies. We loved every minute!

This was a fun little shop with everything created by local artists in Moab. Most of the pieces had a short story about the artist. They had a little bit of everything: jewelry, pottery, dreamcatchers, wall art, postcards, soap, stickers, dishes, etc. It's always nice to support a local business.

Film museum containing exhibits about films (mostly Westerns) shot in Moab.

We stayed at the Red Cliff Lodge, so we stopped by the Moab Film museum to check it out. It’s right next to the reception. Didn’t know that many movies were filmed in Moab. There was a movie about the filming industry and some memorabilia - great museum if you have 30 min - 1 hour to spend.

A small museum but well worth a visit. They are aware of their geologic and natural history and help us visitors understand it with detailed displays.

We planned to stop during our visit to Moab and this place delivered! They said to plan for 2 to 3 hours and we were there for 4... our 8 year old granddaughter wanted to do all the attractions twice. And there were plenty. Her favorite was the 3D aquarium show and even though she went twice she couldn’t get the courage to watch the megladon scary end movie... lol. It was fun! The Dino trial had soooo many life size dinosaurs all in really cool poses and backdrops. If you have time and have some kids along... go. Totally recommend.

The owners and employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. Also friendly and welcoming. And the quality and diversity of their merchandise is excellent. I have bought from them for years and they always have something new and exciting whenever I make it to Moab. Worth the stop for sure.
