The Studio and Workshop of Beatriz Sala Santacana exhibits the artist's ceramic sculptures, paintings and drawings. Her work depicts everyday people as the main characters, and brings attention to the conflicts and experiences that shape societies, with a hopeful outlook. Also on display in this bright and welcoming atmosphere are her ceramic murals, plates, vases, glazed tiles and mosaics. On weekends, visits only by appointment.
This is a wonderful gallery and we fell in love with the sculptures. At the end we decided to buy 2 artworks and they arranged all packing and transport to bring them to our home safely. Sabine and Martin Singapore

Founded in 2016, Jorge Gil Studio Gallery exhibits a dynamic collection of contemporary jewelry as well as related objects and artworks. With an eye towards the conceptual side of the jewelry field in this gallery placed in the heart of Old Havana you can enjoy watching and buying the pieces of jewelry and sculptures made of titanium by the only goldsmith that works this meetal in Cuba
We had the privilege of visiting Jorge's gallery. His jewelry is lovely, but I was even more enamored of the building. Jorge apparently built the building, all the fixtures, the staircases, and the cabinets himself. This is 3 story building with gallery at street level, living quarters on the 2nd floor, and workshop up above. You can see Jorge's meticulous vision in everything from the jewelry on display to the floors, benches, and organization of the space. It's pretty mind-boggling after having seen the disarray of so many of the structures in Havana, this space is more like something you'd expect to see in a modern European capital. It really speaks to Jorge's tenacity and his can-do sprit. It was a joy to meet Jorge and visit his Gallery/Home/Workshop.

Sculpture, engraving, drawing, painting, installation and photography coexist in this place where you can also see a group of works in the process of realization. It is more an area of creation, although those who visit us can acquire first hand and high quality works.

Hemingway's 13-acre farm on a hillside overlooking Havana is preserved as a museum.
Step back in time where everything has stopped right where Hemingway left it. Such a fastenaing author. The grounds are beautiful, and you are able to walk arond. The "Pilar" is roped off, and a guard is standing by, but you can see it from a few feet away. The same with his house. It is all ropped off, but all of the windows, and doors are open for you to see inside, and transport yourself back in time. There are people that work there that are able to take your camera, and get a close up of any of the items in his hose, especially his typewriter, and Picasso. For a tip. There is a gift shop, and snack bar with toilets to use as well. If you are a Hemingway fan you don't want to miss this little bit of history that will transport you back in time. No self audio tour available.

Museum offers a glimpse of colonial Cuba.
I was very tired at this point in the itinerary so waited for my friends in the Museums coffee shop on the ground floor. The attendant made me an excellent capucchno. I also visited the gift shop which had a good selection of art books and art prints, as well as Videos/DVD's on Cuba and its history.
