I am complete surprised, therer is not enough words to describe how this trip changed my life. This was a life time experience Vidal Expeditions is the right travel company to explore this site of the world! The people are very helpful and have so much information to teach you along the way! I have nothing negative to say about this company! The food was amazing and I am still dumbfounded as to how they did to keep these completely fresh in the tent with our not access to electricity this is impressive!!! if you have plan to come to Peru and visit Cusco i recommend to take Vidal Expeditions. You will not be disappointed! They are the best!!!!

This was more of an introduction tour. This included visit to the sites in and around the city of Cusco. The person who guided us covered every bit in detail and it was more like story telling. We did this while we were acclimating in Cusco which in my opinion is the best thing we did.

Throughout the year, thousands of travelers from all over the world take the route of the Inca Trail from Cuzco to access the jungle of Peru and the mysteries that still enclose the stones of Machu Picchu. Along the way are several ruins of different fortifications in a relative good condition. The Inca Jungle Tour is one of the most important tours that lead to the citadel of Machu Picchu. It is a unique adventure in the midst of nature, unique flora and fauna and many little known small archaeological remains. The opportunity of hiking across narrow paths and parts of real Inca-routes, together with mountain-biking, rafting, ziplining and hot springs makes the Inca Jungle Trek highly recommended for thrill seekers. With a little less hiking, this route also offers the perfect alternative for families who want to visit the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.

Me and my friends did the 4-day official Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. What an amazing journey we've made! Loved everything about it. Really satisfied with the contact with Paul en Ralf from Paratravels and of course José in Peru! I'd recommended it to everyone to do the four days Inca Trail. Make sure you're not in bad shape though. ¡Muchas gracias!

Was a very good tour and the guide was simply amazing and friendly. We were not well prepared for the hike but it was quite easy and did not feel like a challenge. We made several stops on the way up to catchup with breath and the guide accompanied us too and was very patient.

We booked with this company and paid 130USD for the 4 days - less than everyone else who ended up on the same tour but booked with different agencies. We were really happy with the service: The bikes and equipment were in great condition. Our guide Vicente spoke English fairly well and tried to make it fun for everyone. Ziplining was really fun and the hikes never too hard thanks to several well-organized breaks. Food was also always excellent and more than enough for us personally (we would have loved some fruit for brekky - but hey, that’s high hopes haha). The rafting did not happen due to the rivers being way too high in rainy season (we saw them with our own eyes and did not want to be on them on a boat). But we were advised of this before (thank you!) and therefore paid a bit less. In total, I would say the best way to get to Machu Picchu! Just be aware to bring a good amount of change of clothes in rainy season ... mountain biking will get you DRENCHED!

This is a good alternative to visit Machu Picchu, combining bus and train. It is accessible at any time of the year, and especially during the high tourist season, when train services cannot cope with demand. That is why we go on the new route, on the paved road Cusco / Quillabamba, passing through the villages of the Sacred Valley, the Pass of the Mountain of Abra Málaga (4,350 masl), the highest point of the itinerary, to get off and get to Santa Teresa, following a short stretch of road, to the train station in Hydroelectric, and from there, continue by train to Machu Picchu, for only 10 kilometers. But before that, we will have enjoyed the delights offered by the medicinal thermal baths of Cocalmayo, in a true natural paradise.

We took the tour on 24 April 2021. First, we waited more than 20 min for one of the parties to show up. We waited another 20 min in the van for that same party after lunch was over while they ate birthday cake. We ate at the same restaurant for breakfast and lunch. The food was good; however, there wasn't enough for the last two people in our party of 10 and definitely not enough if you wanted more--at both meals. The temperature in the morning was in the 40's and neither the van nor the restaurant had heat. The hot food at breakfast was cold because it was just sitting out and the guide ignored me when I asked for heat. He also ignored me a second time when I asked if they could do something about the walking sticks slamming up against the walls as we drove. Ultimately I ended up opening the back myself when they had to stop for gas (which they should have already done before they arrived) and reorganizing them so they wouldn't roll around. On the way back it was much warmer and there was no air circulation in the van; however, diesel fumes and dust was somehow blowing in. At lunch all the windows and doors were open at the restaurant. Again, there was not enough food and the food that was available was uncovered and swarming with flies. At the end of the tour we were dropped off about 10 minutes away from our hotel and told to walk back. There was never hand sanitizer available nor were temperatures ever taken. No one on this tour wore their mask in the van and the guide was upfront behind a shield. We were supposed to receive a briefing in our hotel the night before, but just received an email. After the tour was over the guide gave us a 5 min or less informational briefing about the history of the mountain, but nothing prior. I would definitely not recommend this company when there are so many who are so much better.
