Day 1: Mount the bikes and off we go towards “La Manuela” a bombed out finca that once belonged to Pablo Escobar. You can still see the double walls where he hid drugs and money and find out about him in a 45-min tour. After we will ride down the plataeu on the autopista, with stops for lunch and spectacular views. After about 4 hours of riding we will get to the infamous Hacienda Nápoles where we will stay the night. Day 2: After breakfast its Safari time. On the bikes and lets go check out Escobar’s animal collection including a large population of hippos. Some of them have broken free after Hacienda Napoles was abandoned and now Colombia has a big hippo population. Discover the diversity of Colombia and enjoy the best that our country has to offer. Roll through a region larger than Costa Rica, enjoy coffee plantations, large flower crops, heritage villages and green mountains. Each region is diverse which makes each day completely unique. This cycling adventure begins in the region of flowers and dams, where we find smooth roads about 2,300 meters above sea level for you to prepare at height. We pass through towns such as Guatapé, Rionegro and El Retiro. From there, we will return to Medellín to discover its nightlife. The last part of the trip takes us to the coffee region where we will visit Garden and other heritage towns that show our ancestral culture. Distances: 40-100 Km Elevation gained per roll: 940 m to 2,200 m Duration: 8 to 11 rounds / 9 to 12 nights Level: King of the mountains, Beetle and Classic Price: 2,900 to 3,900 USD

I can’t recommend a trip with Colombia Cycling highly enough. If you like adventure, stunning scenery, open roads and spending time around genuine and wonderful warm people (and who doesn’t?) then sign up now! I have been lucky enough to travel much of the world and this was right up there as an experience. Tomas and Marcela are lovely, kind and fun people who know Colombia like the back of their hands. The cycling is immense (think 45km downhills through the tropical Andes and 80km uphills at Letras and everything in between). Do not be put off by the Narco’s reputation of Colombia. It is safe and a vibrant place full of music and laughter and happiness. I spent five days cycling there, culminating in Letras- hard yards, but one of the greatest days on a bike. The accommodation was top class at all stops and Marcela and Tomas really went above and beyond with their attention to detail and passion for showing their country in its best light. Just go! It’s brilliant

I had two amazing cycling experiences with Colombia Cycling. On very short notice, I asked Tomas what tours were available. He quickly invited me to join a tour that was departing later in the day so I jumped on the opportunity. All the riders were much more experienced than me, but everyone was very kind and helpful. Tomas even allowed me to use his own custom bike! My schedule allowed me to only ride for the first day of that 3-day tour, so Marcela kindly drove me back to Medellin. A few days later, I enjoyed another memorable day of cycling with Tomas, departing from the Indiana Mall in Las Palmas. I learned a lot about cycling and the area from from a real professional and all-around good guy. Very highly recommended.

It only takes a couple of hours drive to arrive at the heart of the Andes and experience the best Colombia has to offer. Get away from the hustle and bustle of the city on a personalized journey to the most traditional coffee zone near Medellin to sample the number one coffee cup from the hands of the collectors directly. Furthermore, collect your own beans and learn the steps of coffee making on a real hands-on approach that will show you everything there is to know about Colombian`s flag product.

The bustling city of Medellín, or the city of eternal spring, is well located between the natural park of Reserva Natural Cañon de Rio Claro and Guatapé. Together with its pleasant temperature, this city is worth visiting during your stay in Colombia. You can explore Medellín, the natural park and Guatapé in one amazing week and during the weekend, Medellín is the place to be for party people with its many discos. This metropole, with its textile manufacturing and flowers, is different from the rest of Colombia because of its skyscrapers on one side, and the slums on the other side. Now you get to explore this big city of Medellín, during your 5 day stay here.

We (my husband and I ) had an amazing time in the Galapagos Islands! We did this trip at the end of October 2020 after the stressful lockdown covid months, so we were looking forward to unwind and visit for the first time the enchanted islands as our vacation. The tours designed by Rebecca Adventure were perfect and customized to our taste and needs. We visited Santa Cruz and Isabela and it was perfect because there weren't many tourists at the time due to the pandemic. We were truly impressed with all the activities, the wildlife and the services provided by our tour guides. We got to see most of the land and marine fauna that we expected, including hammerhead sharks. It was without a doubt one of the most memorable trips of our lives. We highly recommend Rebecca Adventure as your tour agency for the Galapagos and Ecuador. Biosecurity measures were very well respected on the islands, so its safe to travel! If you're looking to come to Ecuador and the Galapagos this is the time, still less tourists, the wildlife is truly impressive and besides life is short, take risks and ENJOY IT!
