An excellent way to visit and explore the Amazon rainforest in a safe and secure setting. The lodge gave you a great feel to how the locals live. All beds have mosquito nets, rooms have all your basic amenities such as wardrobes, toilet, shower and balcony. The showers are cold but you’ll appreciate that in the humid environment! The food provided by the lodge was fantastic. It’s all sourced locally and is very healthy. We ate different kinds of fish with fresh vegetables such as plantain. The tours were structured very well to allow you enough free time to relax after a long day exploring! We saw pink & grey river dolphins, sloths, an anaconda, many kinds of monkeys, peiche fish and many more. We fished for piranha and cooked them for dinner. Overall if you’re a nature fan and don’t mind living without an internet connection for a few days this tour is definitely for you! Our guide Alejandro was brilliant. JunglePro's 2- and 3-night tours cost about as much as a single night at one of the Rainforest Expeditions properties. Oscar is an experienced guide who has also worked at Manú. He answered all my stupid questions during outings and at meal times.

The adventure was simple style camping with nice hammocks and mosquito nets. The cook prepared home made meals the whole time! The reserve itself was beautiful and our guide, Adriano, was an excellent outdoorsman. Both he and the cook, Llersino, could make all sorts of animal calls and were so, so good at spotting all of the jungle creatures!! Very, very good guide and great trip all around ❤️

We had 2 nights in the Amazon at Amazona Posadas. We packed in a lot to very little time. The lodge was beautiful and very comfortable, food was excellent. Our guide was very good but seemed a bit disinterested at times. Very knowledgeable. We then went to Cusco, had a walking tour and cooking class. Our new guide, Albero was excellent. Our cooking class with Jesus was fun, very accommodating. We then moved on to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. Highly recommend the hike at MP Mountain. Our guide was very supportive and patient! Next we then went to the Rainbow Mountain. Unfortunately, though I requested we NOT go to Vinicunca, that is where we were taken. It was very beautiful, but very crowded. I did not understand why we did not go to Palcoyo. Was told later it was not accessible due to landslides. This may have been the case, but was unhappy about the lack of transparency prior to embarking. Overall, we were very happy with our experience and grateful to have completed it before the travel restrictions were set in place for the COVID pandemic.

We did 2 nights, 3 days Amazon experience at Muyuna lodge. This includes airport pick up, stopping at their office in Iquitos, choosing the gum boots and speed boat transport to the lodge. Since our plane was running late, they even made sandwiches for us and fed us during the boat ride. You have to bring a smaller bag and leave the rest of your luggage in their office as the water level is low in dry season and the boat shouldn't be loaded with heavy suitcases. The ride takes 3 hours. The lodge is amazing. The rooms are very spacious and protected with netting. All the meals were very tasty and we had different dishes every day. The excursions were fantastic, some on land, some by boat. Our guide Alain was very knowlegable about the plants and animals of the rainforest. He was able to spot them even in the dark! It was an amazing experience.
