Sydney offers plenty of historical and contemporary Australian flavor. The marvelous Sydney Opera House looks like a great origami sailboat, floating peacefully in a harbor. Wander the narrow cobblestone streets of The Rocks and then take in a street performance on the Circular Quay before heading into the Museum of Contemporary Art. The views from the Sydney Tower Eye observatory are epic – use this chance to get to know the layout of the city from high above.

This was a very special night, sitting under the stars watching a great movie with the back drop of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. We paid the extra to book the restaurant and our seats, well worth it. It was sereal not knowing what to watch the screen, the opera house or the possumns playing in the aisles. A Must Do

Cinema experience good. But this used to be in a bustling coffee culture. Now this eastern end of Oxford Street is practically derelict. More empty shop fronts than anything else. Also heard that another favourite cinema is closing at the end of this month. Dendy Opera Quay. Pity that the art house places are disappointed.

One of my favourite theatres, wonderful location at the Quay, you can combine a variety of activities, Opera House, dining, films etc. all in one day. Wonderful options of interesting, perhaps art-house, movies, so many you could easily watch. Loved Jo-Jo Rabbit, such a fascinating movie. Seats are very comfortable, so easy to sit back and relax. Very convenient for transport by the Circular Quay terminal for trains, ferries light rail and buses. So disappointed to hear the announcement that their lease has expired and they finish up in February. Heartfelt thanks also to the young English server who found my treasured cap that I left behind.

Set on Oxford St, dont be confused with its sister cinema Verona, this golden oldie is a gem on its own. I was privleged enough to be a part of the British Film Festival in which Palace were playing all the Agatha Christie Who Dunnits from the golden age of 1970's - 80's. Came here to see Murder On The Orient Express (1974) the service was really stellar, best of all you can have a wine here out in the foyer and take it into the cinema. Its all reasonably priced and runs rings around the modern cinemas of today. I really recommend checking it out.
