It can only be defined simply in one word as divine. This is the most beautiful place I've ever been to. Period. I was born in mountains and I've seen generally all types and sizes of them so technically they shouldn't surprise me but once I read the word 'Unesco World Heritage' and saw some pictures, I knew I had to go there. Even though I had already seen the pictures but still somehow it managed to pull my mouth wide open with wowww. The whole Dolomite region is really God's country and this is cherry on top of the cake. You finally understand what Europe's highest alpine plateau really means once you step outside the cable car from Sankt Ulrich town and take a look around. God has truly blessed this region with heavenly beauty and thankfully the locals are also doing what they can to keep it clean and tidy.

Starting at the Passo Sella Hotel you can either go toward Refugio Comici and then around north to west Sassoluongo to Langkofelhütte and from there up the pass to Demez Hütte in about 5 to 5.5 hours (up about 1000 m = 3000 ft total height of hike) through a beautiful countryside, always very close to the Sassolungo massiv. From there either down with the cable car or hike down, with is steep and will add another hours. The same hike can be done in the opposite direction.

The Col Raiser cable car is the perfect starting point for numerous leisure activities in the Dolomiti Superski area and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites Our cable railway will bring you easily to Val Gardena's most beautiful pasture. At the summit of the station a breathtaking panorama is waiting for you: the Geisler Peaks, Stevia and the Sella Group, the mountain group of Sassolungo with the Molignon and the Sciliar, as well as the mountain of Pic - a 360° view par excellence! Summer: A variety of excursions start from our station at the top, leading across green alpine meadows with a fantastic flora (alpine roses, gentians, edelweiss...) and small mountain lakes, as well as climbing routes and metallic fixed rope climbing tours. Winter: The winter offers fantastic ski runs and a direct connection with the Sellaronda, as well as the possibility of a ski descent to Ortisei.
