The hotel is older and could use some updates but our room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The pricing was outstanding and there is no fee for dogs. Very convenient to Colonial Williamsburg and downtown.

Location reasonable, cleanliness fair, but poorly maintained, and not much in the hospitality department. I was traveling by myself, so I consciously chose a modest hotel in a decent location, but I had experienced the most modest and chose to pay just a little bit more for maybe not rock bottom. It was a disappointment even on that metric. The sink was cracked and poorly repaired. The shower stall looked as if it had been done on someone's first day on the job, and the bed was the most uncomfortable I ever had paid for. The Wifi was very wonky and glitchy. The worst came later, though. When I honestly reported the above in a survey from the hotel, the GM emailed me back, and in all caps basically invited me to never stay in an Econolodge again. No worries. These people should not be in the hospitality business.

Super 8-Williamsburg offers value accommodations in a central location near Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Busch Gardens and Virginia Beach.
Didn't even get the rooms that I booked. Ac loud and poorly working. Mold/mildew in one of the showers, popcorn from a previous guest still under the bed. Fridge dirty. Could hear people walking through the ceiling. Etc

Hotel is in the heart of Williamsburg offers FREE continental breakfast; located 1 mile from Colonial Williamsburg. All the area attractions are close by like Busch Gardens, Prime Outlet Mall, pottery factory, etc.we offer FREE WI-FI .
This place is nothing but a dump. Absolutely filthy. First off the room key was virtually nonfunctional; it was near impossible to get our hotel room door open. Finally got into our room and walked in to basically a sauna— blazing hot, and took HOURS for the AC unit to finally cool down to a somewhat comfortable level (but not near as comfortable as we had liked). Then we see that there is no roll away bed in our room… which we had specifically requested to be included months ago at the time of booking. But theres more- we then find that the shower does not drain at all… because it was so clogged up with God knows what. The room mini refrigerator did not work- it never cooled our two 8 ounce Deer Park plastic water bottles off throughout our entire one night stay. The pillows were hideous— square sized, literally more like couch throw pillows. Overall, the entire hotel property itself is deplorable- trash everywhere and stains throughout. My sons said they woke up and could hear roaches squiring around on the floor at night. I am in my 40’s, and I have to say this is the worst most filthy hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. I couldn’t even sleep the whole night because I was scared a rat or roach would come crawling into our room. I will never ever stay here again. No way no how.

Bassett motel is currently located among Virginia's most desirable attractions. History, theme parks (Busch gardens & Water country USA), College of William and Mary, Prime outlet mall and golf course are all only minute away from your first choice of motels. This motel is ideally located just one block (walking distance) from historical colonial Williamsburg and 1.5 miles from Busch gardens & Water country USA.
The person who checked me in was nice. The room is older, but it seemed clean. I think there are long term residents here, which I don't really like, but it was okay for one night. It was near the places we wanted to see, so it worked out okay

Check-in was a breeze. The room was large and generally clean. There were a few hairs in the shower. Overall, it was a decent stay. My only complaint is that there was no blanket on the bed therefore we had to turn the heat up. Would stay at this location again.

I’ve stayed in lots of budget hotels, and this was by far the worst, dirtiest I’ve ever been in. There was a stain on the pillow, literally everything was dirty, towels had holes in them, ceiling in the bathroom was falling in, there was chewed gum stuck to the floor, and the shower curtain was covered in mold. I don’t know how this place is allowed to still operate. Disgusting.
