Reviewed By sctraveler15We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Landing! From our 3rd floor room we had a great view of the bay and Morro Rock. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. Morrow Bay s a charming little town. It was great… highly recommended!

Reviewed By 8MSM888I drove up to the hotel and saw Happy Birthday to my name on their hotel sign. How could my stay have had a better start? It was centrally located in Morro Bay. We were able to walk to dinner. It was a small, clean, lovely hotel. I'd recommend it to you.

Reviewed By Ricechex01We were in the lower end rooms and they faced the parking lot. How weird that the balcony was there over the parking lot. It was a contained space, hard to explain. The room was fine. The mini fridge was on a small ledge and unstable. We had a bottle of wine chilling in it and when we opened the fridge, the wine hit the floor and broke. Boo. It was quiet and we did not hear anyone else in the other rooms. It was clean. Everything worked and nothing gross was observed. We have dogs but we did not bring them so why stay in a doggie friendly hotel if you don't have your dogs. The breakfast was okay, the usual hotel breakfast fare. Fake eggs and muffins you can toast, waffle machine, etc. It is always nice to have a breakfast included. We would return but definitely spend the money to get the ocean view rooms.

Also the floor felt so dirty, like they hadn't been cleaned. I was disappointed in the smell of the room and had to wash everything when we got home.

Reviewed By SusanOMemphisNice central location. The bed and pillows were comfortable but our room was very small. The bathroom was also tiny, had no counter space or electrical outlet so hair drying had to be done in the bedroom. Could park right at your door which was convenient.

Sparkling clean, well maintained, friendly manager. Easy walk to the waterfront and downtown shops. This is our annual Valentine's Day romantic getaway and it is especially nice this year as things are opening up after the pandemic. We'll be back.

Staff Is Nice, But...
Reviewed By Brian MWhen we first checked in, our room had roaches in it, hair in the sink, and said sink wouldn't drain. We talked to the front desk and they were nice enough to switch our room, but... When we got to our 2nd room, it was only slightly better. The floors were dirty and sticky, there were dried boogers on the wall, the fridge was dirty and smelled like fish, dead bugs in the bathroom, shower floor wasn't clean, hole in the bathroom wall, and had to buy our own toilet paper as the one roll of one-ply ran out quick.

Reviewed By tlK9742XMSadly this place is in need of serious rehab. I saw reviews at levels truly beyond what is appropriate for the condition of this place. The furniture is banged up, the bed frame was shaky, the towels frayed. The interior is clean however. The exterior is clean and location is great. I would not recommend this place until they update the interior.

Pretty room, good location, no soundproofing
Reviewed By JamiekanThe location of this property is why we booked it - easily walkable to all the shops and restaurants. The obviously recently remodeled room was very clean and attractive, bed was comfortable. (The towels were not recently replaced however and could double as sand paper.) The real issue started when the fog rolled in in the middle of the night and the fog horn goes off every 20 seconds or so for the rest of the night. Even closing the windows did not keep the sound out. Nearly drove me out of my mind. Then our obviously nocturnal upstairs neighbors rolled in and my husband swears they must have been using power tools they were so loud. So we did not get much sleep. Might have been fine if it had been a clear night and we had quiet people in the rooms around us.
