Great location and amazing staff
Reviewed By 75WalshWe stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with another family (we were 10 people total). POSITIVES: JACK! The front desk clerk Jack was AMAZING! He went out of his way to help our families with everything. His English is quite good (although he thinks it is not, it is very good). He made calls for us, arranged trips and tickets for us. Simply amazing. Extremely helpful. His mother also helped us during meal time with dietary requirements/ preferences (plant based diet, gluten free). They really and truly helped so much. The hotel is located next to the bus station that takes you to Mr Huangshan, very convenient. There are many Chinese style restrauants around (nothing western if that is what you crave). Hongcun ancient town is about 45 minute drive away and worth the visit. Rooms are big and beds comfortable (we had the Family Friendly rooms). NEGATIVES: Not many, only the smoking in the hotel lobby and restrauant (even though no smoking signs are posted), but staff were helpful to ask guests to not smoke when we asked. Rooms were not cleaned daily, only water/towels replaced and garbage changed.

Super cheap but clean
Reviewed By Ed1982_10Location: right in front of Tunxi railway station, with 17 RMB 70 min bus connecting to Huangshan Geopark entrance across the street. Rooms: for under 20 usd with aircon, we stayed only 7 hrs just to catch a 9 pm flight. We had a nice shower after coming down from Huangshan, a good lunch on Tunxi old street, and a small nap. For 30 RMB, they hired a huge van to transfer us to the airport promptly. Staff: very helpful and friendly, also very willing to accommodate early check-ins.

Osprey Fishing Show after Huangshan Tour
Reviewed By John_TunxiYou can watch such a vivid osprey fishing show after your trekking at the Yellow Mountain so as it is no need going to Guilin to watch such a show at Li River. We called the local agent and arranged the show before hand and when we were back from the mountain tour, arrived at county township, Mr Zhang was waiting for us, and as soon we reached the river bank, he began to make the performance to us. I should say it was only a show as there was almost no fish in the river. So you can only have some photos of osprey fishing.

Awesome hotel right on old street in Tunxi
Reviewed By colleenb257We (2 adults & 2 teens) booked a 1-night stay at Kaiyuan Life hotel (booked on Trip.com) for our first night in the Yellow Mountain area. What a find this hotel was! New hotel (2018) in a 160 year old building. They have the entire alley, so many buildings. We were in 2 rooms near the front desk. 1 king bed room and 1 with 2 twins. The rooms were a very good size, beautifully decorated and lovely bathroom with large shower. They also just installed a pool and lucky us it opened the day we arrived. The manager Ada was so helpful. Her English is excellent. She helped us hire a car to take us to our next hotel in Tongcun village. She gave me her WeChat and told me to call her anytime if we run into any problems or translating issues during the rest of our trip. Such a lovely person ? Room includes breakfast and afternoon tea. Breakfast was buffet with scrambled eggs, toast, fried noodles, steamed buns, fruit and great coffee. Also had fresh soup noodles. Was good & sufficient. Afternoon tea was juice and fruit and 2 little cakes. Perfect mid-afternoon pick me up. Great location on an alley in the old walking street in Tunxi. They will meet your taxi and bring you to the hotel. I called the hotel from the train station and told them we were on the way. Taxi from train station was 50rmb, 25 mins. If you are travelling to Tunxi absolutely stay at this hotel!

Reviewed By 老虎猫2018设计非常用心，服务即温暖又不会过分热情。床超级舒服，洗发水也很好用，还赠送了水果、饮料。 酒店有书房、泳池，还有一个非常特别的水上茶室，到处都美美的。安静舒适，适合度假。 酒店素食很不错，有徽州的笋和一些珍贵的菌类，很健康而且非常漂亮，推荐尝试。不过需要提前24小时预约。 早餐也很好吃，没有像五星级酒店那么多品种，但是每一个都好想吃。

Reviewed By chantu12バスターミナルからは少し歩きますが、黄山に行くときは気さくで親切なオーナーが送迎してくれました。隣はスーパー、一階はレストランなので朝食も困ることがなかったです。オーナーとスタッフ全員が明るくて優しくてとても暖かい気持ちになりましたよ！黄山の歩き方も完璧に教えてもらいました。隣の部屋の音も気になりませんでした。次も是非利用したいです。
