The legendary Hamptons, a cluster of wealthy enclaves on Long Islands South Fork, remains a celebrity summer playground, with splashy restaurants and nightclubs galore. But lovely beaches, fishing and kayaking attract off-the-A-list visitors, as well. Old money oozes throughout Southampton, while new wealth reigns in East Hampton. Montauk is a hit with fishermen and surfers. The Long Island Railroad travels the Hamptons in an hour. The Sag Harbor Whaling Museum and Montauk lighthouse are popular stops.

The pictures of this place is accurate! There's no TV but with two kids 7 and 12, with their pads, wifi was more than enough. Plus, it helps wind down and helps concentrate on the wonderful atmosphere and environment. Very Zen-like, with the beach and pool just in the 'backyard' and evening/night fire pits with s'mores and complimentary water/seltzer/Nespresso coffee is just icing. During my stay the staff from the beach crew, to the pool and to the fire pit crew were just wonderfully accommodating. Special shout out to Akeem who helped me find an extension cord to help me charge my car, even though he didn't have to go out of his way. If you want ice, there's only one though, but a large thermos helped me fill what i needed and the room fridge kept drinks cool enough. As to the room, we booked a two queen bed room facing the parking lot and it was enough for a family of 4. Beds were comfortable as well as the linens and honestly, I preferred the bare stone floor more than carpets that can trap and accumulate all the sand and dirt. Air conditioning was excellent and we slept well!

My wife and I stayed here for her birthday, and we will never stay here again. I’m shocked at how many good reviews there are for this place. For the rates they charge, on a weekday no less, what you get is a tiny motel room with a lack of upkeep. Our options were limited because we wanted a pet friendly spot (more on that later), but I expected a much better experience. We visited in the middle of a heat wave, and all you get in your room is a small wall A/C unit that doesn’t go below 72 degrees and sounds like a jet engine. The bathroom was in terrible condition, and the bed was 3 feet from the front door that had a huge gap on the bottom, so not only could you hear everything outside your room but the huge gap also allowed the heat to easily get in so the room never stayed cool during the day. The photos they provide on their website are very misleading. Feel free to compare them to the photos I took. I decided to pay extra for a Premium room instead of the Classic, thinking we’d get a nicer room and/or a view of the ocean. We got neither. The pictures on their website and other websites show an ocean view with a room that looks nothing like the room we got. The only difference between a Premium and Classic room is what level you’re on (the Premium rooms are on the second floor). My last gripe is with the pet policy. They charge you a $150 pet fee, but their policy is that you cannot leave your pet in the room alone. We’ve stayed at a number of pet friendly hotels and this is the first time we’ve come across this ridiculous policy. The fact that it was a pet friendly motel didn’t prevent some other guests from complaining to the front desk about our dog barking (a 7 lb Maltese). I would have loved to have had a conversation with whoever complained twice in one day about our dog barking. Both complaints were in the middle of the day. Why are you in your crappy room during a beautiful day? If you have a problem with dogs barking at a pet friendly hotel/motel, don’t stay at a pet friendly hotel. There’s plenty of other places to stay in Montauk that aren’t pet friendly. I highly recommend staying anywhere other than here.

This place charges you an arm and a leg to stay here because it's in Montauk, it's on the water. You expect it to be somewhat nice. It's not. What a disappointment. Nothing more than your average Super 8 motel, it's beyond disgusting. The only thing ok is the bed, but maybe not even that great because it rolls. The furniture is gross and old, the decorations in the room subpar or non-existent, and the place feels poorly cleaned, which is no comfort during the time of COVID. As for your balcony/patio area, ha, what a joke. It's not private at all. A lot of people walk by, right outside your patio door, hang out, have parties on the picnic tables. Enjoy the smell of the sound AND the smoke from all of the cigarettes other guests are smoking near and above your patio. Great stuff during a respiratory pandemic. Basically you're paying resort prices for a terrible, low-end motel. The staff has an attitude as the day is long, not caring at all about your family's health needs or concerns. If you have money to spend, don't spend it here. If you don't have money to spend and want to splurge, do not splurge here. What a wretched place. One of the worst motels I've ever stayed at in my whole life. We felt duped and lied to - the website is quite misleading.

Our accommodations have been totally updated to offer you the most comfortable experience during your stay with us. We have added new amenities to add to your enjoyment. We now have Townie Cruiser bicycles, complimentary beach passes, and Hampton Coffee & morning newspapers available on the weekends!
Wonderful place to stay in Southhampton. The location is easily accessible to the beach by bike or car. Quick entry into town either walking, biking or driving. We loved this place for the staff, garden, beach bikes, and luxuriously appointed rooms. Everything was well maintained and Thomas takes care of ensuring everything is aesthetically pleasing. Thomas provides coffee and wonderful stories of the area. He provided us a route to bike that was away from the heavily traffic streets. I enjoyed coffee every morning with him.

sole east resort has a stellar reputation, but the beach property is a complete nightmare. The rooms at the motel were an all day/night rave - with about 12 boys blasting music with a strobe light - and their door open - until 3am. we complained multiple times and the situation persisted. The lack of security was appalling. the front desk was never staffed. Bongs, weed, and empty beer bottles with left outside our door. This was supposed to be a pet/kid friendly location, but these items were just left open for the taking - or for animals / children to ingest. Not to mention it invites unwelcome, non-guests. It was a total safety hazard and just simply disgusting - especially considering the price. We never would have stayed here had we known it was a party hotel for 18-21 year olds. You need to disclose that this property is an entirely different experience and not up to the same standard as the resort. And prices need to reflect that. It’s wildly misleading to even share the same brand name, as the two properties are not AT ALL the same. Additionally, the AC unit did not work. The room remained at 80 degrees the entire stay. On our last night, they offered to relocate us via text, but it was far too little too late. Since leaving, I have yet to receive a call from anyone attempting to rectify the situation.

Stayed one night recently on way to catch the morning ferry in Montauk. The host was very nice and gave us a lovely room with an amazing four post King bed. Room was recently remodeled. Very clean, new TV, good AC, and a large clean bathroom, small fridge and kitchen area. Not fancy, but met all our needs. Close to marina and a beach, and the nearby Edgewater Restaurant in Southampton. Location was off 27 on a quiet street which provided a good night’s sleep.

The Capri Southampton is also not suitable for children on the weekends. On weekdays, however, the hotel is very tranquil and a great place for guests of all ages.
Please be aware this is not a 5 star hotel. HOWEVER, the service is exceptional. My friend and I visited during the week (Sunday- Wednesday) and it was quiet, calm, and peaceful. The poolside was not crowded, but lovely with perfect weather. The room was comfortable, clean, and the room service was done in a timely manner. The hotel staff are super nice and welcoming. The aesthetic is very cute, and this is definitely a boutique hotel (again, please don’t come here if you want a 5 star hotel experience). The free breakfast was a plus!
